I've been a big fan since the "96 season(Was young and dumb and didn't care for football at the time), through our 1-15 years and a bunch of other losing season. No OTHER team gets my love like the Panthers, my first, side dish, and main! Lol

But c'mon man! I'm kinda getting use to losing and not getting our win till the half of the season. :(       which is ridiculous!  No jumping anywhere here, I die and bleed black an blue, represented from the west coast baby!!!!

Good point Zod.  I still support the Cats in a very low-expectation sort of way.

Despite threads and beliefs about loyalty, fair-weather fans, etc, it comes down to being entertained.  Are you entertained?  Are you still enthusiastic about going to every home game, paying for parking, spending money on concessions, buying Panthers gear and doing everything that JR and the NFL want you to do?  I'm not.  I'm not giving up on this year but the last couple weeks have taken the edge away ... again.

I have been a fan since the beginning and have owned PSLs almost since the beginning.  I will continue going to games because I enjoy taking my young son.  However, this is a business and apathy will soon set-in, deservedly so.  JR wants to win but he also wants the seats to be filled.  Concessions means money.

It is hard to call somebody a fair-weather fan when the fair weather seems like a distant memory.  At this point, just being a fan is tough.

Sure.  The Panthers will not miss our $2800  in ticket money or $1000 in concessions a year. Charlotte would consider our $500 in hotel a fart in a bucket.

multiply that by 20,000 and they will.

What a bunch of crap. "Real fans."  I suppose if blindly accepting failure makes you a real fan, I'm not one.  Since my only miniscule vote can be attending games, count me out until the team is at least on a trajectory of success and improvement.  I won't be part of the endless mire of mediocrity.

On the bright side I like my couch.

I split a PSL with someone....and to be perfectly blunt and honest I don't go to games once the Panthers are 2-8 or so.  I follow the Panthers in my warm home by that time and frankly am generally lulled to sleep on my couch in the meaningless games that they are playing by then.  I try to make certain that my seat in the stadium is filled with a Panther fan but by December its very difficult to find anyone to go to games.  Even folks who have never been bow out by then.   I love this forum.  I guess I'm a fair weather fan.  I've been called worse.

I'm not jumping ship, but I am tired of having to look forward to the draft as the one day we see real improvement for the team. I can't defend this team's losses anymore. I can't defend the coaching and honestly I won't even try. They don't deserve it.

John Harbaugh fired his offensive coordinator early in-season and promoted from within and won a Super Bowl. If Rivera doesn't have the balls to make decisions like that, then we need a new head coach. I'm done with loyalty, I want results.

Yes, Rivera and Shula are awful. Yes the Panthers execution particularly on offense looked horrid.

Its gut check time for the real fans. Those of us who have supported the team through worse than this.

I still support the cats. Bring on the Giants.

Oh I totally support them, I'm just disappointed that I now think I'll be looking forward to next year and see if we have a playoff caliber team then.

I'm done with excuses, and I'm done with optimism.

This team sucks.

But it's still my fuging team.

Go Panthers!
