I feel the half time adjustments went something like this...

 

 

Rivera: "Hey Byron, Mario's got 3 sacks already, but don't get discouraged. It'll be OK, just put on a happy face and try your best. It's a process. And if things don't work out, there's always next week."

 

Then they hug. And come out in the 2nd half and continue to leave Bell one on one to block MW. After the game they go to dairy queen together to share a banana split and celebrate the great effort they gave.

Bell's career is on the decline and he'll be a backup next season or out of the league. I don't want an apology, but it's somehow worse when he outright lies about his performance. Be honest, or answer "no comment". Keep lying, and I start saying crazy stuff like if that game were life or death then Bell would have been executed by firing squad for criminal incompetence. But let's not get crazy.
