And the 6th highest rated guard in the league is... Amini Silatolu?

Recommended Posts

I don't have the actual PFF stats to post, but according to a redditor (Iamostrich) over on /r/panthers PFF has him graded as the 6th best guard in the league.  Oh, Gross and Kalil are doing pretty nice too.

He's also 4th in run blocking and he's played 1 fewer game than everyone else in the top 10. Pretty impressive, seems like he's really coming along.

Also, Gross is the 8th highest graded tackle and Kalil is their 4th highest rated center. The left side of our line is looking like one of the best in the league right now. Sadly Byron Bell is the 43rd rated tackle (better than last year though) and Chris Scott, who's started about 85% of our snaps at RG, is the 5th worst guard right now...maybe it's time to start Byers and/or Wharton on the right side? They can't be worse.

All I can say is

In a pleasantly surprised kind of way of course....

Didn't see that coming.

Chris Scott has been a pleasant surprise at RG. Not sure what his PFF stats are but i dont put much weight into those.

Let's see things out this year.  I see a lot of optimistic jumps this week

well, piggy said that he thought silatolu would be playing at a pro-bowler level this year.

i need to see a few more weeks before i feel too confident about him or anyone on the line.

buffalo was awful. seattle was decent and giants was stellar

wow kind of like the outcome of the games. imagine that.

I say Seattle was good too, and quite honestly Byron bell brought down the whole oline in buffalo, he was a one man wrecking crew. Just for the wrong team

I expected our oline to do better than most expected since majority was dismissing the talent we have.

I still don't like bell.

I'd argue that inserting Wharton at RT would improve the entire right side including the guard position.
