So far seeing about a 400% performance improvement. Not too shabby. Has a solid state drive to reduce some of the random corruptions we had when really busy.

I dropped an SSD on my mail / web server and it's been like glass ever since.. It's a no brainer at the current price point..

Qnap NAS box works great for me and is speedy as hell with a 4 gig trunk and fiber connection.  what is the actual upgrade your doing? surely you dont host the site on your own server?

Are you putting in enterprise grade SSD's? They are not cheap and have more logevity than consumer based SSD. The main issue with consumer based SSD is how many times a chip can be written to before it is no longer usable.

Are you putting in enterprise grade SSD's? They are not cheap and have more logevity than consumer based SSD. The main issue with consumer based SSD is how many times a chip can be written to before it is no longer usable.


Depending on the manufacturer the rewrite count can be shockingly low too.
