what i'm hoping is that the giants game set the tone already.

what i'm fearing is that the first two games was the real setting of the tone.

one way or the other, i think the tone has been set already. all this week does is let us know what the tone is and what to expect.

On the positive side: the first two games weren't really that similar, even though the offense struggled in both. But the playcalling was very different. So if it was a "tone" it wasn't a consistent one.

Obviously the whole team needs to step up, but this game will say a lot about Cam IMO.

He's spoken about Year 3. He's facing some good secondary players. It's time to limit mistakes, while carrying his offense, and win this game.

That said, if he plays bad, no, he's not a bad player (I know some frittata on here will take my post that way). But this is the type of game where he, as a new leader on this team, needs to prove it and get this year going in the right direction.

I usually think of every game as a "must win" by the time kick-off rolls around.

In reality, the only must-wins are playoff elimination games. Unfortunately for us, those usually start around week 9 or 10. It would sure be nice to be playing for something other than pride later in the year.

Rivera and crew have sucked most of the optimism out of me, so there will be no predictions from this quarter. I'm just going to hope for the best. Hopes and wishes are all I can muster right now.

it's not about fear. it's about knowing this team and it's tendencies. the moment you believe, they find a way to f*ck it up again. then they have a week that makes you believe and then it all goes away cause they screw everything up again.

we've lost games like this before too often for me to have much confidence. i need to see more than just one game to make me a believer.

I haven't follow Arizona at all this year but I know Campbell is a beast. I believe they have a good DT along side of him as well as another decent pass rusher. Nothing amazing, but no pushover.

If Panthers fug around and lose.. You can que up the infamous Dennis green presser... "They are who we thought they were"

With that said.. I like my team to get it done finally finishing a team in a close game.

17-13 Panthers.

I think the tone setting game has come and gone. It was set up by the Ravens preseason game. Finally came to fruition against the Giants and now I expect a 38-13 victory in Phoenix.

I feel like we already set the tone. Hope I'm wrong.

I've yet to come here and not see a swath of posters call a game a "must win."

I still don't have much if any faith in the coaching staff, so to me the question remains unchanged: can the talent of this team compensate for the coaching?
