Dude, you can't be serious.  That is DEFINATELY NOT the case.  I know for a FACT.  See my rates posted.  And that's with NO claims the past 2 years !!!

Are you a senior citizen?  If so, seems you are getting ripped off.  My parents pay $175 a month per personwith no deductible through AARP's United Health Care plan.  It covers about 100% of everything.

63.  So no Medicare.

Believe me no one has shopped more for insurance than me since retiring at 51.  I've been thru Cigna, World Ins., Coventry, Celtic, BCBS.  You can get an individual policy but most are crap coverage.

World (I believe it was) went out of business after something like 104 years in business strickly because of Obamacare.  I was with them when they went out, and they turned me over to Coventry.  That was a piece of crap coverage.

The simple logic of Obamacare is someone has to pay for those that WON'T pay.

I assume that's for a Medicare supplement ???

Yes.

I guess the years before one becomes eligible for one of the medicare supplement plans tend to be the most expensive.

My employer has us on a new high deductible plan ($3,000) effective 10/1. Just for the heck of it I went to the exchange site last night and shopped the different packages.  Even with my new (painful) high deductible plan I'm much better off than the gov't plan. The best I could do for my family was 75% higher premium and a $10,000/$20,000 deductible.

That is simply not true. As a matter of fact, this is less true because of Obamacare.

Some people are paying more so that people who weren't allowed any medical insurance because of medical conditions can now get it and insurance companies actually have to pay claims instead of default denying them. Not because of poor people getting insurance.

won't pay, Firefox, or can't pay?

If someone won't pay, they are forced to or receive a penalty under Obamacare.

edit: or a tax ;)

    • Stop me if you've heard this one... Once upon a time the USA provided weapons to "Freedom Fighter's" opposed to the Soviet Union's illegal invasion of Afghanistan. FYI:  The war drained huge amounts of life and treasure in a futile attempt to defeat a elusive resistance.  After ten years the Soviets concluded they were on a fool's errand and withdrew in humiliation.  Many believe the war hastened the fall of USSR.  I wonder if there is any lesson to be learned here for those in Washington D.C.?
    • TE George Kittle is one of those TEs not many are talking much about. He comes from the underperforming Iowa team that appears to look like they won't be worthwile for a long while, and just doesn't pop out very much in this loaded TE class. However, his Pro Day turned some heads. George Kettle may not be the guy you immediately see, but he's arguably the 2nd best blocking TE in this class. He can also catch, and has shown the ability to be a threat as a pass catcher. His real scary stuff comes with his amazing redzone performances.  Iowa may have hindered his potential, but he definitely has it. Some extra information concerning this TE: http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/sports/college/columnists/chad-leistikow/2017/03/28/george-kittle-nfl-draft-profile-improving-pro-day-hawkeyes/99724056/ Sounds like a solid TE who can be something in the NFL with some work.
