You guys remember LoneBucFan? He used to troll so hard. I wish I could dig up his comments about Freeman being the second coming of Christ.

He should start in Oakland. Greg Olson was his coordinator when he had the most success.

i could see this happening and they wouldn't have to pay freeman anything more than the vet min because tampa is already footing the bill.

With regard to Shaw though, he's made it quite clear that he's not interested in leaving Stanford.

Money's voice is usually pretty loud.

Money's voice is usually pretty loud.

He's not exactly hurting for money in his current job.

Peter King asked him about it. You can see his answer here.

Shaw has said elsewhere that he plans to stay at Stanford until his kids graduate, and pointed out that he has a two year old.

He's not coming here, or anywhere else in the NFL, anytime soon (if ever).

With the mess Schiano has made in Tampa and Kelly having issues in Philly, it might start getting tough for college coaches to get NFL jobs again.

Granted, Kelly still could turn things around, but Schiano may have set the Bucs back for a while.

A college coach coming straight to the NFL succeeds something like once ever 10-15 years (if that). The last 2 college coaches to successfully come from to the NFL were probably Jimmy Johnson (1988) and Jim Harbaugh (2011).

Johnson wasn't anywhere near as successful when he coached a team that couldn't just outspend everybody for the best players.

Saban, Petrino and Spurrier soured NFL owners on college coaches for a while. I could see something like that happening again, especially if Kelly fails.

Apparently Freeman's contract didn't include any offset language which means the Bucs have to pay his salary.

Ok, I stole that from twitter. Here you go

@caplannfl: Because there's no offset language in Freeman's contract, the Bucs still owe him the remainder of his contract.

@caplannfl: Plus, he'll get whatever he receives from the next team he signs with. Double-dip time.

That's worse then what happened with us and Jake Delhomme.  At least Jake was a loyal Panther who wasn't intentionally vying for the double dip opportunity that he got with Cleveland.

Something about this post bothers me.

IDK if its the fact you sound like a Nancy.

Or, if its the soccer SIG.

I'll go with both.

are you forgetting about the chiefs game last year?  no game is ever a cake-walk for this team.  what's wrong with soccer?
