Ironic that the Giants don't resign Chase Blackburn who we then sign, who ends up beating Beason out of his job, then the Giants go ahead and trade for Beason who lost his job to the former Giant.

hilarious

Which means it's pry an intelligent move

Does it make you feel better about yourself to make jokes at my expense all the time? And then hide behind the fact that you're a moderator that has banned me on multiple occasions?

It's okay with me. I was just wondering if all this made you feel like more of a man.

I might get flamed for this, but IMO this is an overreaction. As cold as it is, football is a business. You're torching Gettleman for doing the opposite of what Hurney did. Hurney was too loyal, now Gettleman isn't loyal enough.

Can't have it both ways.

Personally I want him traded just not for a 6th or 7th....I'd rather be the team pilfering other desperate teams....which the Giants are by their own admission.

Not a bad deal Panther fans.  What else could you get for Beason? Relax

I'm sure many of you, were the same people killing him the past two years, saying he needed to go (along with Hurney Loyalty, cash mis-management).

Now that Beason's gone, and Panthers open up another roster spot, summa ya'll wanna criticize.

SMH

Yea, Beason deserved better in Panther fans eyes. However, it's a business (as it's been said). So what could you do?

Based on Beasts playing time and contract we are getting another drafted player for nothing.

If that player doesn't work out, so what? it is nothing ventured nothing gained

I wouldn't be mad if we traded Beason to another team for a low pick, but the fuggn Giants? Gman doing business with his former team. That's what pisses me off. Bad business.

NY needed a lb that bad, make them give up Nicks!

can you get off that train? it's a stupid train. it's coming off the stupid tracks that it was never quite on to begin with and it's going to burst into a stupid ball of stupid fire and take everyone down with it.

It's the right move but your very wrong about the cap space

over 6 million cap hit and 13million in dead money.....so what if I exaggerated the cap hit, it was the point that was important.

Beason's base salary this season is only 1 million, we're saving 13/16 of that. The rest of the money we're saving we would have saved anyway letting him walk at the end of the season. I hope we get at least a 5th, we'll see.

So there goes one of the only vocal locker room leaders for dirt and every one is happy.

Makes sense.

from my understanding Beason restructured his contact earlier this season which means he was going to be an UFA next season and since we already absorbed his bonus we wont have any cap casualties with this trade.

am I wrong?
