I'd agree.  Probably wouldn't be smart to start Freeman this week if they do sign him.

Freeman's decision-making is crappy when under pressure (tends to give up 3-4 INTs)

Would be a good fit. Greg Jennings and Kyle Rudolph would benefit from having a semi-competent, strong arm QB.
