Don't agree. We're not letting him play to his strengths and that is coaching.

Did he make mistakes? Yes.

But the only questions i really have about him right now is how much autonomy the coaches are giving him... I don't think he's allowed to audible at all and I don't think they prefer him to make multiple reads. That leads me to question whether it is because he can't do it well or they just won't let him.

Announcers said today he audibles a lot. He has more control than ever.

3 options when pressured:

- Hold on to the ball longer: Sack, negative yardage

- Throw ball away: 0 yards lost

- Scramble: Mixed bag, usually positive yardage

With a bad offensive line, Cam needs to go to Options 2 and 3 way more often. So tired of him holding on to the ball forever and taking a big sack which kills all momentum from a great drive.

You sir don't know football they were spying him. Which means nowhere to scramble. You have to stand in the pocket and trust your wrs to get open and believe your line will hold up. Not his fault neither happened.

Then throw the ball away. That's what every great QB does. No shame in it. 2nd and 10 way better than 2nd and 17.

To be fair even with a spy Cam can juke and stiff arm and not to mention run over many LB's for atleast a few years.

Yeah you're right he was really bad today getting blitzed every down and having his WRs drop balls thrown right at them and being literally the only bright spot n our offense.

Stop making excuses for his poor play. He was terrible today, he was terrible against buffalo and was terrible for long stretches of the Seattle game. He wasn't very good for 2/3 of last season either. Time is running out and so are the excuses.

Yes, let's blame Can - one of the few bright spots in this debacle.

Coming from Rodney Harrison, it's not worth much.

(to me, anyway)

Guys, I'm not sure if I'm conveying how much this pains me. I'm literally getting a headache having come to this conclusion. I like Cam Newton that much and think he could have been the superstar Charlotte needed if these mental things didn't get in the way. It's possible for him to start getting rid of it faster I GUESS, but I don't see this 4th quarter thing going away for the rest of his career. He needs a sports psychologist man.

Yes because I don't think Cam is the answer that must mean I want Jimmy Clausen back. Clearly.

100% agree..Love Cam, want him to succeed. The physical tools are there, but the decision making and perhaps understanding of the game seem up in the air at best.
