To line up opposite Ted Ginn. Thats right, GInn is the best receiver on the roster right now. Smitty cost us a td earlier, Lafail does dropped a 4th down attempt. I actually give some props to the coaching staff for letting the players make some plays. However, they did not.

I would only keep Smitty and Ginn if we gut this team.

things will be a lot different in the next 2 years... we wont have 4 number 2 receivers that really should be number 4 receivers..

Smitty playing so much on the outside is giving us negative returns.... NFL guys fall fast.

Team needs a 1 and a 2 and some project depth. Wr should be cleaned out with exception of Ginn and that is hoping he can work in the slot.

The fact Lafell laughed after dropping that pass disgusted me.

It looks to me like Smitty is aging fast.

We need to stop thinking of him as a No. 1 because he's not at this point.

Never been that sold on LaFell as a number two.

He does some good things, but he's just not consistent enough.  Consistency is key in a number two, way more so than explosiveness.

I love Smitty, he's been my favorite player forever now, but it's time we acknowledge he isn't a #1 anymore and the rest of the guys behind him are at best #3s on any other team. I'm proud of Ginn though and he's showing potential as a WR going forward. I hope we extend Ginn, but other than that and Smitty, they need to completely revamp the WR corps.

Nobody is going to cut Smitty, however, they wont talk him out of retirement.
