If we do go the D coordinator route, I atleast hope its Rob Ryan.

Rex is doing a good job this year with all that is going on. Is he not?

He beat the Bills, Falcons and Bucs (barely) but lost to the Titans and a depleted Patriot team.

Not really all that special so far.

They would have beaten the Patriots if Geno hadn't committed all those turnovers.  Titans game I didn't see but from everything that was written that was on Geno too.  Plus he admitted too.  Shocking I know as QB's don't make mistakes according to this board.

For the record, Rob is generally considered the lesser talent of the two.

The problem is a lot of you think its black and white, all I hear is "we need a OC or offensive minded HC to grow with Cam" You have to hire a guy you feel will make a great HC. I can easily just as say "we need a defensive minded HC to grow and build around our young MLB Kuechly." When you draw a hard line like that, you greatly limit your options. Look at Bellicheck, a defensive mind and former DC and Tom Brady and his offense look just fine to me. Look at Gary Kubiak, hes a offensive mind and former OC but yet the Texans have a pretty stout D. The bottom line is you need to hire a individual that you feel possess that unique leadership and HC quality that you cant see in the Xs and Os and I always felt Ryan was that guy.

it's not really OC vs DC...Rob Ryan and Lovie Smith just aren't good HC candidates.
