You mean the 8th best O-line in the league according to PFF?

Do I have to say this 9000 times? It's not either Cam sucks or Cam is a god. There's an in-between. Please stop acting like he is immune to any and all criticism. He has good days and bad days, good moments and bad moments. To criticize his play on one given Sunday does not mean I'm hopping on a bandwagon to railroad Cam out of town.

8th best based on positive grades from Mr Reliable Jordan Gross and a hugely improved Amini (who we no longer have) heavily boosting our average.  An oline is only as strong as it's weakest link, if one guy can't cut it and doesn't get his job done the entire play crumbles.  It doesn't take statistics to see our oline is complete trash.  Watch some other teams side by side with the Panthers and you'll see a tremendous difference.  Even though the majority of the line usually does it's job, I've never seen a QB that has to make such dramatic movements in the pocket so early in the play call just to keep the play alive as Cam is forced to.  When I say dramatic I mean it's not a simple step up or sidestep, he usually has to straight up juke a guy out.  This is mostly due to Cam getting pressured so often from the inside rather than the edges and its pretty rare to see him get a true pocket.

I'm really surprised that so few people see this as a huge problem.  Look at the first half of the Arizona game, Cam was absolutely on point with all of his passes and put up 214 (i think?) yards.  Then Zona made some adjustments and the pressure came and Cam started playing like shit.  Even if you make the argument that he should be getting the ball out quicker to the non existent check downs and run some non called screens, draws and qb designed runs we still drafted Cam to be our franchise quarterback and when you do that you have to build AROUND that quarterback's skill set.  Maybe Cam is a QB who absolutely requires incredible protection to be successful, and there are MANY HOF QBs who were like that.  Who have we brought in since he has been here on offense?  Nobody.  We have not acquired a single starting calibre offensive player since drafting Cam Newton, not one.

He was magnificent untill the Cardinals adjusted, and RR/Shula were sleeping on the sideline.

Point to differ....Shula would be sleeping upstairs.

Yeah it's no big deal when your receivers are dropping touchdown passes and fourth down passes that hit them right in the chest.

That is not correct either...the passes hit them in the hands...exactly where passes should be caught.

This game was lost due to mistakes from players that should never have happened and from the lack of adjustments to what the defense was doing.  I think if the players had done their job early on the game would have been over.  Does not excuse lack of adjustments.

Ima say a couple things to Cam presser

2nd half

When we come out in the 1st half scoring points, turning redzone trips to TD's when usually win and continue success in the 2nd half. That should be the number 1 focus. As much as we get down there, no excuse for us not averaging a MINIMUM of 3 offensive TD's per game

When we don't, I feel like I'm watching John Fox all over again. Terrible adjustments, TERRIBLE

Quicker pace

Definitely a point. They move like turtles. That'll help but it'll be even better if we spread defenses out while moving faster

Blurb from TMQ:

"Ron Rivera, Pack Your Bags: Cam Newton was 25-1 as a starter in college, and is 14-22 as a starter in the NFL. But football is a team sport. Three-time Pro Bowler Ryan Kalil barely even slowed his man on the safety that put Arizona in command in the third quarter. And should coaches really have called 48 passing plays for Newton versus 16 rushes for the team's running backs? The safety occurred when, ball on the 5, Panthers coaches radioed in a play that had Newton sprint backward into his own end zone. That's a call for an expert quarterback such as Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers, not for Newton."

I guess TMQ  forgets Cams 90 plus yard TD to LaFell throwing it from his own endzone under extreme duress.

Interior blockers have to block inside rushers at the endzone. If they dont you're gonna get sacked, I dont care what your name is.

You have got to do better in the name calling department.

With that out the way, could you please translate your post? Much appreciated.

Saying Cam is the reason that we're losing games doesn't really warrant a translation.

Think of something you're not very good at. Now imagine trying to do that at a faster tempo. There you have the Panthers 2013 offense.

Here's a screencap from a random incomplete pass play I chose from coaches film.
I guarantee you, this was not the only one where Cam has absolutely 0 possibilities to get rid of the ball:

The only three people out in the route are ALL on the fucking 15 yard line. Why didn't Cam activate his jet-pack and fly over everyone, for a score. Bench/Trade/Cut Cam!!!!11
