This is about along the same lines of scumminess as a stupid slut who spends her $2,000 of child support backpay on a new tattoo.

There is nothing wrong with upgrading a room in which he spends so much time defecating his brains.

In a memo detailing the required work, Bill Sears, a private architect working for the state, said existing floors and fixtures need to be removed, and the electrical outlets need to be upgraded to modern standards.

And because the mansion is an historic house, some custom work will be required to preserve historic features. For example, Mears said, one bathroom was retrofitted when President Franklin D. Roosevelt stayed at the mansion. Those retrofits, he said, will need to be preserved.

You can read a detailed item by item breakdown in the attached. Just for the master bathroom however.

I'll admit, I had to look up "toilet ventilation".

As for delaying this cost...it seems most of this should have been done by prior Govs.

Seems the bathrooms needs to meet water savings, accessibility requirements, etc.....

At least no one from the Huddle "tore it up" while using one of these toilets that would increase the cost of the upgrade. Unlike some idiots here in Texas who set fire to the Gov mansion, I think as protest to the cost of renovation, causing the price to fix go up.

For savings....I bet there would be tons if someone really took a look a the security teams for the Gov. Rick Perry has a huge security detail. TMQ used to rail against this wasteful spending by Rs and Ds all the time.

Reading the e-mail confirmed what I already thought....this was not an upgrade it was a gut and rebuild of the entire room.
