I was just telling my wife this exact same thing. It seems we always draw the team that just had something bad happen to them. I dont expect to win as i have seen it many times before. It is not the team laying down, its just we have a hard time matching intensity with a team emotionally focused. Also this feels somewhat wrong to even discuss as AP just lost his Son, but i dont think it is in as bad of taste as trying to see if he is playing or not. I still want the win, i dont want the team to lay down, but i expect it might get out of hand if the vikes play like the Chiefs last year.

CWG, why don't you send me in your place. See if we can turn this bad luck around.

To give an answer though, there at A LOT of personnel in the NFL.

Al Davis, Junior Seau, Chris Henry, Torrey Smiths brother etc all are recent with no ties to the Panthers.

Chris Henry died in Charlotte.  A Panthers bumper sticker was probably the last thing he ever saw.

If he died in Charlotte then a Steelers or Cowboys bumper sticker was probably the last thing he saw.

Raiders played Favre after his *dad died.

Wesley Walls was the recipient of the best play in that game too. #6degreesofseparation.
