Cams wide receivers and o-line haters please check in!

Best Answer FootballMaestro, 13 October 2013 - 04:19 PM

Now let's see How Ron Ron coaches, and Shula calls plays next week when the game may actually mean something in a sucky NFC this year?

This game was symbiotic. The play calling and the OL gave Cam time to scan the field and throw it to his receivers, even on the run a few times.

You do not get to take a day off just because we win and they play good.

Am I doing it right?

The OL needs some help. Both this game and the Giants game were products of Cam having time in the pocket and the ability to see the field and step into his throws. IMO, while grabbing another receiver would be nice, having an OL that consistently gives Cam the kind of time he has had in the 2 wins would go a LONG way for this team.

29th ranked defense. I'll hold my praise till we do it consistently. Offensive line and receivers still need an overhaul

Boy, some of you love attention.

Anyway, I will bite. Great to see Cam sharing the love. When he's not making it all about Smitty, the team Offense plays well. When he does, it's like they don't know what to do.

Oline played better but good fronts still eat them alive. I liked seeing LaFell bounce back.

Good point. Spoken like a person who actually pay attention to the whole game and not one player.

Many seem to forget that having time to scan the field is very important but anything that focuses on the weakness of this team and not Cam seems to be a No..no with some on here.

Beat a bad team, but looked really good doing it. Are we going to look like utter garbage next week? Who knows.

I do think Cam could have played better, but it should be pretty obvious I'm much more saying that Russel finds ways to win the game for his team.

I guess you didn't see the recent Seahawks/Colts game where Wilson threw a game ending interception while his team was driving down the field only needing a touchdown to win. All quarterbacks are capable of making mistakes, and having bad games. Simple fact.

Russel had a pretty good game with one mistake.

Give me Russel's 2 touch down , 200 passing yards and 100 yards rushing that lead to 28 points over Cams 0 touch down day with 300 passing yards. Russels team put up 28. Cam only 6. It's clear which one does more for his team.

That "one mistake" as you casually simplify it, cost his team the game, plain and simple. If it were Cam in that situation, I am guessing that you would not be so dismissive and understanding of such a mistake, now would you? It seems obvious you haven't followed Wilson.

The Seahawks are a very very very talented football team. They do not require Wilson to literally will that team to a win.

For an example of this. Let's look at his performances in a few of their wins so far this year.

Against the 49ers: 8/19 for 142 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, QB rating of 63.9, QBR of 25.9. Seahawks win 29-3.

Against the Texans: 12/23 for 123 yards, 0 TD's, 1 INT, QB rating of 49.7, QBR of 20.6. Seahawks win 23-20.

Those are wins against two of the top teams in the NFL, now you tell me if you think Wilson won those games or his team did.

BigBoss never came back after the last reply. He knows absolutely dick about football.

It's just nice to see the team win. Has Ron been 500 yet since being at carolina? We got a shot next week.
