Quintin Mikell: Another solid showing, and a veteran presence.

Are we gonna stick with him to start? I think we will.  I don't see how we can justify not playing Mikell.  I know that he expects to play.

The greater question is whether we will re-sign him after the year is over. If Mikell does play, will he demand more money, and will G-man give him some more money? Or, will we gamble with Lester, much like we did when we started the year with a really inexperienced backfield?

Mikell is better in the run game for sure, but Lester's got a knack for the ball

I don't think that we need to gamble in our backfield unless it's damn near required. I have seen the results too many times. Mikell still has the ability to play at a high level.

Unfortunately it will probably come down to dollars and cents, but I would try to lock Mikell up for two or three more years before he hits the open market.

He will prove even more of an asset this Sunday when he goes all Chase Blackburn and gives us the skinny on the Rams playbook. Rams, prepare to get Blackburned.

Lmao Damn I love your sig, its even funnier when you watch it in the context that hes having that reaction for not starting Weeden on his fantasy team because his expression is perfectly in sync when Weeden's fantasy numbers flash in the ticker.

Hopefully both Lester and Mikell can see some playing time when both are healthy.  Mikell is known more as a run stopping safety and Lester has shown more of a knack for the ball so maybe Mikell comes in on running downs and Lester spells him for passing downs.  It's nice seeing a safety that can cover deep for a change.

I suddenly love our safeties and think it is now a position of strength for us. Mikell, Mitchell and Lester. Love it
