Looking to get back in...

PFT: Jake Ballard could be back in the league soon

Given the Gettleman connection, could we be one of the interested teams?

Should we be?

Why not?

I think this offense was clicking when Shockey was here and had 2 TE weapons.  If Ballard is healthy, hes no Shockey but can provide the defenses another thing to think about.

we could definitely use that second te receiving option.  can he fit our system or pick it up quick enough?

I got my eye on Colt Lyeria instead... as do The Pats too though.

If you sign him, do you cut Ben Hartsock, Brandon Williams, or someone else?

(don't everyone say Fua; Dwan is still hurt)

For a second, I thought you were talking about the Jake Ballard on the TV show Scandal with Kerry Washington.

If he's willing to sign for the right price, I don't see why not. Whoever we get, we can show Hartsock the door.

I doubt they cut Hartsock. PFF thinks very highly of him as a blocker.

Hartsock is our best blocking TE by far.

Was he not injured to begin with? Hence why he was let go by the Giants and then picked up by the Pats only to be let go again? IF he is not 100% I do not see the point in trying to acquire his services. The year is almost gone too.
