I could've sworn he was with the Giants or some other team up North.

Anyway, we're about to put Amini on IR and only have 2 backup OL. Of course the logical next step is signing a LB.

Nice special teams pickup.

Is that his calling card now?  Can't tell if you are serious.

Are you sure you're thinking of the same player? Can't find anything about that.

Eagles' linebacker Jason Phillips done for the year with ACL tear

So much for added safety at NFL training camps. New Eagles' linebacker Jason Phillips was carted off the practice field today after suffering an injury to his right knee during a special teams drill. The fifth-year veteran signed with Philadelphia at the start of free agency and was expected to served as a special teams ace and backup inside linebacker for the Eagles.

Update: Jason Phillips has been placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL. He will be replaced on the roster by undrafted free agent Travis Long. An outside linebacker with terrific pass rush ability, Long started every game he played at Washington State. He went undrafted mostly due to an ACL tear that he suffered last November.

Eagles placed ILB Jason Phillips on injured reserve with a torn right ACL, ending his season.
Phillips, 27, tore his ACL in Sunday's training camp practice. The Panthers' leader in 2012 special teams tackles with 16, Phillips was competing for a backup spot behind starters DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks. The Eagles signed undrafted rookie ILB Travis Long in a corresponding move. Jul 29 - 6:14 PM

is this not the same guy? i could be wrong (definitely wouldn't be the first time today).
