I dont believe people have a grasp of the real value of players in a trade.

A fifth round pick would be pretty good all things considered. I'm not holding my breath though, it's all guessing

At this point in his career losing Beason hurts us more in the locker room than he does on the field. He is one of my all time favorite Panthers.

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with this, but only on a hunch.

We only heard the tip of the iceberg here, but he had stated that he wanted to start again....that wasn't going to happen on the Panthers with Luke firmly entrenched as one of the best, if not the best 43 MLB's in the game.

We don't know what was going on behind the scenes.

1: He wasn't going to play this season.

2: He would be a FA at the end of the season.

3: Possible locker room issue.

4: We got a pick and saved money on the cap, when we thought he was un-tradeable.

5: Panthers win.
