It's Time for Some Good Horror Movies!

The Descent really stuck with me for a while. Very good in terms of claustrophobia and those crawler things are so creepy.

I really liked the Saw movies too for some reason. They're not scary and I understand they're actually terrible movies, but that whole "you can escape only if you make this crazy decision" premise really intrigues me.

Wizard of Oz scared the crap out of me. Fug them flying monkeys!

Both that and 'Willy Wonka' are listed in Bravo's "100 Scariest Movie Moments".

I second "Session 9". Very underrated and still on Netflix I believe, plus it stars David Caruso.

I really liked the first two Paranormal Activity movies. If you haven't seen the first one I would highly recommend it. You'll hold on to the covers tight when you go to sleep.

If you are a big horror fan you must watch "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon". This movie is all sorts of kickass. It's like a behind the scenes "mockumentary" of a guy determined to be a scary serial killer. Lots of references to classic horror villains, and a great climax I don't want to spoil.

Also mandatory viewing for horror fans is "Cabin in the Woods". Brilliant film.

Another classic is "Pet Cemetery". That one never gets old.

"Hatchet" is a really fun slasher throwback. Made in 2006, Hatchet has some awesomely gory kills. If you are a fan of Friday the 13th you'll love Hatchet.

Ah, The Mist.  I was expecting a cheesy movie but was pleasantly surprised with that one.

People who've seen 'Oldboy' might argue that.

Or Audition.

No 11 on the Bravo top 100 scariest movies of all time.

When Rob Zombie says he was about to turn the movie off bc it gave him such anxiety ya know it has something to it.

The first hour is actually paced in a weird like Lifetime RomCom...so stay with it patientily ...then it is all the most chilling parts of seven on meth... Love or hate it is unforgettable.

I HIGHLY suggest that you watch it knowing very little about it...although i will post this SPOILER-NSFW segment from the show it shows all the key notes and you can pretend to say you saw it..

I realize it is in Japanese so reading subtitltes is not for peeps in Gastonia.

If you want the full experience..do not watch this bc it goes over all the scenes that are the high notes. (extreme suggested volence) you think you see more than you do bc very little blood and a lot of cutaways...a wonderfully edited movie.

Audition is amazing. Silent hill, the thing, jacob's ladder, event horizon, slither, feast, dawn of the dead remake, high tension, let the right one in, tucker and dale vs evil, and out of Africa are some quality horror flicks

    • Sunday I was too annoyed and busy to post reasons he was wrong, by Monday he was telling everyone bye. Lol Honestly I think that was the most outraged I've ever gotten about anything on this forum. Even more than someone saying Jake Delorme sucks, back in 04 lol Its kind of mind-boggling someone who can read and write was truely blaming the girl for being rape.
    • NFL Network is showing the Carolina / Giants game from our 2015 season.  I'm just watching the tail end where Beckham scored on Norman and it showed Cam's "I got this" nod. Man, what a great drive.  In 2015, we simply played with more urgency, hunger, and the drive to be the best. Cam had the confidence because everyone was playing as hard as they could.   Going into 2017, if this team can get hungry again, they are going to be fun to watch!  The more I think about it, the dominance of that team wasn't some kind of magic, but rather in will.  They would not be denied. The good news is that they can find the motivation again.  Nothing special.  I know we're all in draft mode, but I'm feeling pretty excited for the season.  I think our team will come back motivated!
