SNF: Manning vs Luck

Did you even see that game??

55% of the Colts plays last night were Pass plays!

21.38 (55% Completion) 228 Yards passing   3 Passing TD's & 1 Rushing TD's

Colts keep it out of Andrew Luck's hands?   Who passed the football for the Colts last night?  It was wasn't Matt Hasselback!

No pass greater than 10 yards last night?

TD 1:20 Darrius Heyward-Bey 11 yd pass from Andrew Luck

TD 5:50 Stanley Havili 20 yd pass from Andrew Luck

Right there are 2 passes longer than 10 yards and that was only the TD's!

The man interviews like a 6 year veteran.

Pre-Game interview:

Sideline Woman:  "How did it feel last year coming in and replacing someone as great as Peyton Manning?"

Luck:  "I can't answer that.  I never looked at it as coming in and replacing anyone.  I looked at as I was joining a great team."

Post Game Interview:

Sideline Reporter:  "How does it feel to just beat Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos?"

Luck:  "I didn't do anything.  This was a total team effort.  The Defense really was the key in our win tonight."

Andrew Luck even went over and talked to Reggie Wayne to apologize the throw and to take the blame for his injury!

"After the game, a big part of me felt like it was a loss in a sense because of what happened to Reggie and my fault in it," Luck said, via the Colts' website.  Luck even said this during the Post Game interview on the field.

Next time you quote someone, make sure they have their facts right Kdunked!

You're a Luck looney. Those TD passes didn't travel 10 yards in the air. They were results of YAC. You actually follow other player's interview. Damn! You know those guy are taught how to interview with the media, right? Keep it on the field, my man! And yes, he should apologize for blowing the guy's ACL. A guy who is barely injured for over 12 years in the league. Bad QBs get players injured all the time because they have terrible ball placement. Any little light they see they throw it. Nothing new here.

Luck in the second half, 5-13 29 yards passing. Blech.

Had a big lead though, and the Colts have now beaten Seattle, San Fran, and Denver!!! I still think Denver is the best team in the AFC, even with the loss tonight, but the Colts are for real. You could make a good argument they are #1.

Don't forget KC. Andy's doing more with less than Foxy there.

Great QB's get players injured as well.  Dallas Clark had not one, but 2 season ending broken bones with Peyton Manning throwing to him.  Edge (Edgerrine James, blew out his ACL after having Peyton hand him the ball for a run.)

I agree that Luck share the blame.  There was no one around Reggie and the ball was thrown low.  However, look at the video.  Luck also had 3 Broncos in his face when he made the pass.  (I still pray that Reggie can come back.)

If there's an Interview 101, how come so many players shoot their mouth off?  It was within the last 2 weeks that Smitty called out Cam Newton.

Luck is a bad looking dude. He has to be nice. Kind of like the kid with pimples all over their face. Unlike pretty boy Cam who have to practice being nice. If you're an ugly dude the last thing you want to be known as is nasty. Plus, Luck doesn't have much talent that wows people. He can be humble all he wants, he is still a low talent ugly dude with the same fate as Christian ponder, Schaub, Quinn, Alex Smith, Linart, etc. Damn, the list is endless.

Can someone tell me why Peyton likes his helmet super tight? It always leaves his forehead red as a beet even 30 minutes after a game.

It's because they don't make helmets big enough to fit his giant fuging minnie driver dome in it

it's like watching the nfl in big head mode

The glaring thing in that game is the fact that Luck blew Reggie Wayne's ACL with his inaccuracy. Wayne has been making those bail out catches for Luck since Luck's rookie year. Finally it comes to bite him. Skip Bayless put it best by saying that Luck dink&dunk his way the entire night with not one completion pass 10 yards. Now we're starting to learn why the Colts keep the ball out of Luck's hand. Luck is a dangerous passer. Literally!

Wow, Skip actually criticized Luck?! Shocked.

Anyway, I must agree with what you posted.

I was watching NFLN this morning and as they went on endlessly about how "great Luck is at this point" in his football career, it started to feel real artificial. They then talked about how both Manning and Luck came from football pedegree and I realized why Luck became the "chosen qb." Those in the media want to continue the whole Pedegree QB with Luck and his father that they now have with the Mannings. It is more than obvious at this point. Luck's style of playing reminds me a lot of Dalton. As a matter of fact, I actually see Dalton as better.

Luck is that kid who gets that top job in the firm more because of who he knows and not so much that's he more qualified.

Agree completely. I read few of your previous post and I realize we see eye to eye on this. Well, it seems like the media is geared up and ready to propel this nonsense to the next level. It is so obvious that the media doesn't like the direction the QB position is going and they truly want to maintain the status quo. I kind of feel sorry for Luck because he doesn't have the talent to uphold the media's expectation and when he fail to meet them the media, like they normally do, will retaliate by thrashing him and change direction by accepting the inevitable. I believe a user name KingKam uttered before how the QB position is changing not only in the High School level but also in College and I agree. Some of the players who are playing the QB position now have the same physicality as the ones catching the passes and it's only natural, the media need to accept that and figure out a different marketing strategy. Little talentless Luck cannot shoulder such heavy weight. And "all he does is win" doesn't cut it in this NFL.

I agree with you about the status quo.

What I see the media doing with Luck is saying: here is what the next generation of QBs will really look like. He is already seen as a "traditional pocket passer" which keeps that image alive. They are also making him just as athletic as Cam, RG III and Russel Wilson.

By morphing Luck into the image of the those who are tradtionally seen as "mobile QBs," and knowing those QBs will never ever been seen as real pocket passers, the media is creating the new image of future QBs in the NFL to satisfy those who consider themselves football purist, while weakening the argument that black qbs are more athletic and mobile. Luck is being made the future Peyton Manning because it's safe.

Ridiculously stupid.

The Luck bashing is beyond pathetic on this board.

To be fair, a solid percentage of it is attributable to the two nimrods you see gabbing with each other here.

Not a single clue between 'em...

We need to just go ahead and create an auto word filter for Andrew Luck like we did for Tim Teb0w.
