Was the promise in the post game of the Seahawks game a challenge to them, or a goal this team has set for themselves? This is a tangible goal and gives them a reference point for measuring how far they have come and where we are headed. This goal would be more tangible and "measurable" than simply making the playoffs.

I personally feel that it was a comment in the heat of the moment and this team has hung it's hat on it.(plus the Ravens preseason performance we put on.)

I believe he's referring to Steve Smith's promise after game one that we'd see the Seahawks again in the playoffs.
