Does anyone else have an uneasy feeling about tonight?

Best Answer Growl, 24 October 2013 - 12:12 PM

Not at all. I understand people have this weird fetish where they think they have to spout cliched press conference lines so they don't mess with the juju of the team, but what it comes down to tonight is either the Panthers go out there and handle business as they are supposed to and win or Ron Rivera and Mike Shula clearly have no place here. It really is that cut and dry. If you can't beat a team like this, with the talent disparity and all the other extracurricular factors, then you have no place in this league.

We should beat them down.

All the attention...we're playing well..chance to go above .500 under Rivera. Why should we believe Rivera and Co. will not blow this game? I mean, I love the Panthers 'till I die but I'm purely going off of instinct and past experience on this one.

Everyone knows the definition of insanity: "Doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result". That has been the Panthers, with a few exceptions, since the NEWton rivERA started...and I'm just not confident.

I'm not claiming we're going to lose. But I guess what I'm saying is that I still do not trust this team, and I don't like the unnecessary confidence. We don't deserve to be confident yet at .500. We have seen this team blow 2 games against worse teams than us, 1 of which by almost 20 points.

This game is not going to be easy...and I just feel kind of uneasy about this. Maybe I'm overrating how good Tampa could come out and play.

I'm worried. We have a history of shatting the bed in situations like this.

I ALWAYS have an uneasy feeling when the Panthers play, they are their own worse enemies, thus they can lose to anyone in spectacular fashion.

We've improved, but have we truly gotten over that hump? I don't know.

I want the bucs to win but I doubt they will.

Rest easy. That defense is no joke though.

Oh, ok, so 72 more people are going to decide they need to create a thread just to broadcast their "uneasy" feeling about the game instead of just adding their thoughts to the ones already posted. Thanks for the warning  ;)

I also do not think that if we win this game it will be proof that we are over the hump. This is a true trap game. It will either do nothing OR hurt us.

We win: "Oh great, you beat an 0-7 team"

We lose: Well, you know what comes after that. "Can Cam lead" "Rivera expected to be fired" "Panthers most inconsistent team in the league"

This game sucks.

Might be the only one with an "uneasy" feeling, but there have been plenty that expressed reservations about winning the game in different terms.

The Panthers are bipolar, so I'm always nervous.

We will be able to tell how this game is going to go five to seven minutes in... in my opinion.
