As if the Panthers 4 wins weren't unimpressive enough already...

And if you want to point out injuries, Saints were without Evans, their best guy on OLine, Bunkley the starting NT, Johnson one of the DEs we rotate, two of our safeties Harper and Quddus and our backup CB Sweeting , yet with all those injuries, Saints D gave up 7, Panthers gave up 22.

don't the Taints play the 9ers next week? will be interesting to see how that game shapes up.

Very interesting. I will be watching to see how Brees handles a good defense like that and if he can't that's even more bad news for him because we can bring the heat

A DT and LB out made a big difference? Well the offense was the same and Saints D allowed 7 while the vaunted Panthers D allowed MORE THAN TRIPLE THE POINTS in games played 14 days apart.

Saints also beat the Bears who were 3 and 1 coming off their first loss and Cutler was averaging over 100 rating the first 6 games before he got hurt. Pats was a terribly officiated game and also should have been a win if called correctly, the league even admitted two calls were incorrect and either one called correctly means time runs out before Brady makes it to midfield on last drive.

I know this might be hard to understand because your a Saints fan, and don't really know what defense is as you haven't ever seen it, but a DT and LB do make a big difference.....especially because these are above average to great players that were missing. The fact that you don't think that mattered ALOT shows how much you don't know about football.

You beat a (currently) 5-4 Bears team who have beaten pathetic opponents, and an Rodgers-less Packers team....not that impressive dude.

And you lost to the Patriots period. I could say the Panthers had a phantom PI call against the Bills is the reason we lost, or a call that could have been made against Seattle or Arizona would have won us the game, but arguing doesn't change anything. The Saints lost. No moral victories.

Look man, just admit the Saints have beaten any good teams, and like it or not the Panthers beat the 49ers on the road, which is more impressive than any Saints victory....everybody on this board already knows that's the truth, and any denial is just unabated stupidity

You're going around busting balls like the pedantic little sperg twat you are when you've been posting incorrect poo repeatedly yourself. Get fuged.

2 of the points were on a safety since it apparently wasn't obvious enough. Try looking at a box score some time.

also, if we're going "a buh buh buh refs!1" to explain away every loss, then the panthers got completely robbed of a defensive touchdown when carson palmer was called in the grass on a sack/fumble pretty much the moment charles johnson got his hands on him.  almost everything broke against the panthers in that game and it says a lot that you have to go back over a month to point out the panthers' alleged incompetence.

WTF is in the grass?

down by contact.  the refs blew the play dead extremely early.

this game is fun though.  let's use pat logic on the cardinals game:

-the aforementioned sack/fumble/touchdown that was blown dead for no reason

-steve smith dropped an easy pitch and catch touchdown on a slant in the first quarter

-brandon lafell dropped a fourth down pass that hit him in the numbers inside the cardinals' red zone that would have set the panthers up inside the 15.

that's potentially 21 panthers points!  so the panthers actually left enough points to win on the field in flukey circumstances so we can safely throw that game out, right alejandro?

but what if the game is played on artificial turf?

Ok, I will just be blunt... its called in the GRASP.. ie, offensive player being controlled physically by the defensive player.

But yeah the rest of your post was spot on. We left more points than that on the board.
