"I had my D-line coaches get on to me the other day. Well, not get on to me, try to get on to me. There's no way they're going to get on to me for this. They got upset with me because I helped somebody up [in the game]. So what. I don't care. Kiss my butt. Listen, if I want to help somebody, I'm going help somebody up. Because right on the next play I'm going to knock him down again. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.

It's pretty evident that Schiano is a dirtbag asshole in the mold of Bellicheat and Greg Williams.

Yeah. It's also evident that he doesn't have control of the team and the team doesn't respect him. This is one of those things that I wouldn't be surprised to find out happened on every team, yet is rarely openly discussed. Schiano is not a good coach (shocker!) and he's going to be lucky to latch on as a coordinator at a major college program after this season.

Bryan Cox is one of the defensive line coaches.

If I were to wager...

McCoy is a classy guy on a classless team.

Schiano may well be one of the biggest douchebags of all time.

Dorn might well be right. His fall could be legendary.

if you were a college AD and saw these stories, would you put this a--hole in charge of a group of impressionable young men?

I never helped anyone up when I played sports.  "Hey you look tired let me give you a hand" ??.

I asked a coach about his opinion on it one time and he said he liked helping people up because it reminded them who was on the ground and who was still standing.  So I can see both sides of it really.

I don't have a problem with players who don't do it, though I think it shows class and good sportsmanship when they do.

But when a guy does it and then gets jumped on by his coach, that's a new level of douchebag.

maybe if they spent their time with actual football stuff rather than how to attack a victory formation, not helping players up, ect they might actually win a game
