What is your political affiliation and if relevant, why?

Myself:

Black, (not that it matters except that it builds the narrative about my contradiction of beliefs)

Slightly Socially Conservative

Extremely liberal on finances

Democrat by party ( because of the stance on health care and education, both of which should be universal and federally supported)

Staunch Southern Baptist by birth

Very open to new scientific ideals (including those that argue against traditional christian beliefs)

Anyone else brave enough to lay it all out...?

Ive largely given up on trying to tie myself to any sort of ideological group.

I'm registered Republican but have nothing but contempt for the current GOP.

I self identify as Christian but I reject organized religion and think the bible is on par with Grimm's Fairy Tales or Mother Goose stories.

I earn an upper middle class salary but by and large eschew all notions of "keeping up with the Joneses" or social climbing.

I'm a white American male but gave it up in the interests of humanity.

We are all so much more than the mainstream ideals of any group that we associate with that labeling, even self imposed/embraced labels, really only serve to divide.

I am unaffiliated with a party at this time. Was a Republican until 2008 but have always been socially liberal. I still am a fan of Reagan but have fallen out with the entire Republican party mainly because of their actions the last 13 years.

I am white.

Economically my views have shifted from supply side to demand side as more and more of our nation's wealth have moved only to the top. I do think taxation on corporations and the wealthy can be harmful and hurt the economy, but we haven't seen taxation like that in 33 years and it has gotten so bad that I feel the reverse is now true.

Born and raised a Christian in the Methodist church, but I have also become disenchanted with the Christian establishment. I still consider myself a Christian but no longer attend church. I always am constantly challenging my owl beliefs in all facets of my political and religious spectrum.

Guess that's it
