The Giants acquired their starting middle linebacker for a seventh-round pick, according to an NFL source with knowledge of the deal. It had previously been reported as a late-round selection.

Jesus Dave, at least make them work for it. He's worth more than a 7th sitting on our bench. I don't give a fug if he wanted out.

Well, that's about as "late round" as it gets... LOL

Proof that this was more about doing Beason a solid.

The bright side is that at least we have a full selection of draft picks this year.

probably all we would have gotten with a comp pick was a 7th anyway considering the little amount of playtime and his salary.

at least this can be traded.

It was obvious he wasn't giving it his all on the field in order to be traded.  I'm just happy we can  move on now.  Good luck Beason except when you play us.

Well, the best we were going to get was a fifth anyway, and that was a long shot.

It's over with, he's off the books now, and I'm ready to move on. I just hope he isn't bitter at all, because he has zero reason to be.

We bundle two sevens for someone's six come April. Draft another impact guy like The Kraken, profit.
