Jeff Byers carted off...Chris Scott hurt...Nate Chandler playing guard (ouch).......how to we handle this if god forbid they are both out? Great win today and it feels great.....but this could be a serious issue starting now. Hard to believe that we are worried about Byers/Scott being lost..,but the backups to the backups are even worse. What do we do? Who is out there?

Don't expect new signings nless we have to open a roster spot (i.e. someone on IR)

The free agents available at this point in the year are pretty much terrible :(

yep. This is bugging me too. Seems like we'd have to sign someone if only to have a backup to Chandler. Hopefully, though, Scott will be good to go.

All I can say is 49ers D is licking their chops right now. Cam might be a dead man next Sunday. I hope not, but we have some major trouble on the oline right now.

Everyone thought carolina would feast on Ryan too. It all depends on how you scheme for the talent you have.

Weirdly, I thought Chandler did a pretty good job coming in for Scott/Byers. Give him a chance if they can't go...but obviously, we would need to find another backup.

There are young guys looking for a chance on 32 practice squads. We can find someone, from there its up to him to deliver.

My biggest gripe with Gettleman. He stood by too long on our o line. No excuses.

To be fair we've lost Kugbila, Silotolu, Williams and now Scott and Byers.  Thats 5 freaking guards, theres a heck of a lot of bad luck there.

Scott and Wharton have been playing real well and Gettleman brought them in.  He got us some depth, its just unfortunate that it isn't enough.

Please don't remind me about the Kugbila pick, it was a desperate reach to begin with. Zero offensive starters currently drafted since Cam got here. It's all about depth. I just would have liked to see more urgency from him regarding something so crucial to our success.

We have more pressing needs. A lot of other teams practice squad WRs out there with a lot of upside to sign.

Wish we still had piggy. I know he wasn't very good, but he knows the system and considering we're literally down to a 4th string player. Geoff is not a bad choice when your down to your 4th string player, plus he could play multiple positions.
