Cam's Ability to Extend Plays

How jaw-dropping was that scramble by Cam in the first half when the pocket collapsed and he evaded multiple tackles and defenders to get out of the pocket and find 89 down the field for the first down? He pulled a quick juke is such a tight space and somehow emerged from the pile. Anyone have a gif of that particular play? One of his more insane plays from this season.

Cam is the best dual threat QB in the NFL. He ain't break, he ain't fold. He's not scared. And here he stands.

I THOUGHT I knew that he was going down and that it was a sack. I knew nothing. He is truly an incredible athlete. I mean my gosh he's something else.

It was a nice play. He did that to the Falcons last year too.

One of this best plays ever was the one in that gif above. Kid is on his way to becoming a trancendant quarterback.

I have the answer...

6'5" 245lbs of pure athletic dominance.

In Ancient Greece epic poems would be written about his heroics.

It was special, probably the only guy in the league who could have made that play.

245 pounds of sweet brown-eyed soul. He's the tower of power, too sweet to be sour. Funky like a monkey. The sky is the limit and space is the place. He's too hold to handle but too cold to hold. He is... :cam1:

Other QB's may have made the first, possibly second, cut.  But no way in hell anyone else gets out of that sidestepping like he did.  Incredible awareness, if you notice he kept his eyes downfield through all of that.

Anyone else remember when he put the everlasting shakes on that DB from the Redskins his rookie year on a run that wound up gaining close to 30? That's what his juke there reminded me of.

Cam is a big QB. Most QBs of his size don't move with such fluidity.  All I could think of when I saw that highlight, was the spectacular play Russel Wilson made when he was being dragged down by a defendent but managed to throw the ball to his receiver sideways before hitting the ground.

Moves like what Cam and Russell did are not scripted. Those are simply young men using their natural gifts to get out of bad situations.

I hope this moved ended with a TD so it could end up on Dion's the highlight reel on NFLN.

This is one of those things where I say, "Yeah, you are right that sometimes he holds the ball too long and gets sacked, but sometimes he keeps a play alive and makes an amazing play that extends the drive"

It is sort of like living with the Barry Sanders constant negative yardage back in the day (he holds the NFL record for carries for negative yardage), because you know eventually he is going to make an explosive play.

With guys like that, sometimes you have to take the bad with the good, or exceptional.

Bilick sounded like an idiot most of the game. One of many dumb quotes from him today.

Think Cam had a tough day?

With 0:30 left in the first half, Luck is 3 of 11 for 56 yards against Houston.

Welcome to Cam's world of not having receivers worth a poo, Andrew.
