That49Guy 47 Report post Posted November 7, 2013 stomped? we were in it until late, like within the last 5 mins. we outgained them yardage-wise over 400 yards, but had too many miscues. the game was far from a stomping, but since it was by far our worst game of the season, i guess it makes it feel that way. i know i am going to use that terrible word "if" but two terrible drops wide open by Smith and Lafell early in the game would have netted us 14 points instead of 3, and the game is a different story. our team is executing at a much higher level now but still has room to improve. been looking forward to this game since the schedule came out, and it is not a do-or-die situation for either team. and i will be rooting like hell for the Niners in a couple weeks when you guys play the saints. I know how a few drops/muscues can kill you. And just like your game against ARI, our game against Seattle was the same way. The score wasn;t indicative of the game itself. We have also improved immensely since then.

Marvin49 25 Report post Posted November 7, 2013 Arizona isn't top 10 in yards or points. Only Seattle and you got stomped And we were up on AZ after the first half despite dropping an open TD pass on a drive and a 4th down in the red zone on another ....we imploded late and the score snowballed at the end. So the question was if you have played a comparable D.... Answer is only Seattle. AZ isn't In YPG, Houston (#1), Seattle (#2), Titans (#11), Cards (#13), Green Bay (#15). Meanwhile, the highest Ranked Ds the Panthers have beaten outside of Seattle are those same 13th ranked Cards and the 14th ranked Giants. It works both ways. Outside of Seattle, the Panthers haven't faced a D like SFs. The Niners also weren't "stomped" as the score was 12-3 halfway through the 4th quarter...IN SEATTLE. teeray 16,463 Report post Posted November 7, 2013 You couldn't even score a TD against a team we killed. Seattle's defense is better than yours. You're right TB did better than us and everyone else that's played out there. So? They played Seattle better than you guys did too. And who says we're a juggernaut? Some 21 year old keyboard jockey who never played football on a 49ers messageboard? If you've read any of teh rational 49ers fans posts, you'll know we're all nervous about this game. And rightly so. The fact that we didn't score a TD against Zona was a outlier because of dropped passes in key situations (TD drop and 4th down drop), and an ill advised INT by Cam. And don't act like you rolled Zona. That whole game was determined by the 6 Zona turnovers. Let me put that game in perspective for you. San Francisco scored 11 of their points off of a combined -2 yards. In other words, in order to score 11 of their points they only had to move the ball on offense a grand total of negative 2 yards. The score wasn;t indicative of the game itself. We have also improved immensely since then. The reason that you got stomped by Seattle was because you only had one decent drive the whole game. It was pitiful. Mike Glennon looked like Joe Montana compared to Kaepernick against the Hawks
Joey 9ers 22 Report post Posted November 7, 2013 If its and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas. I'm not hanging my hat on anything but what we are.....the best D you will face this season. Yeah, the Tampa Bay Sucks just played out there....they did a LOT better than your mighty 9ers. You aren't this juggernaut some paint. And AZ has only 3 more turnovers than Seattle for the record The only top 13 defense you guys have faced was Seattle and Arizona. They held you to 7 points and 6 points, respectively. Yes, they might have held us to 3, but we also played them in Seattle. We had 30+ on the Texans, Titans and Cardinals. Who are all top 13 NFL defenses No offense, your defense is good, but it's not the best we have to face this season. Not even close, that title goes to Seattle. Right...because the 49ers had nothing to do with any of the turnovers. Even if you take away your magic 11 points, they won by 12. This game was also played without Aldon Smith and with a gimpy Patrick Wiilis.
CTHawk 22 Report post Posted November 7, 2013 ...our game against Seattle was the same way. The score wasn;t indicative of the game itself. The Niners also weren't "stomped" as the score was 12-3 halfway through the 4th quarter...IN SEATTLE. Just wanted to chime in and correct some incorrect "facts" laid out by a couple of the resident 49er fans here. #1 - The score was very much indicative of the game. We turned you over 5 times in that game and held Gore to 16 yards. #2 - You were stomped (see #1). And the score was actually 22-3 with 11:36 left in the 4th quarter.
