Chris Scott out..........Chandler to make first NFL start

Recommended Posts

This thread shows how little fans know of thier own team.

Say what ya want about our GM, but our oline hasn't lacked talent.

It's also our GMs fault we've had as many injuries at the guard position? Shut the F up...seriously.

Every guard that has started for us this season played well. That is credited to our GM and our line coach.

Chandler has been on the oline since mini camp, not the beginning of the season. Not that it matters to the idiots that say otherwise.

He was also the highest rated lineman in preseason.

The coaches have had nothing but praise for the big, athletic Chandler. He is smart, learns fast, and plays hard. We should be praising the team we have him as an option, instead of beubg forced to pick some guy off the street that isn't good enough to have a home.

I'm excited about Chandler. I was hoping he'd replace Bell, but that isn't a viable option now.

This us a damn good game and test, to see how well he does.

You can either root for him... or be a POS.

Your choice.

First, no one is rooting against him

Second, we went into this season with major talent issues on the right side of our OL.

In prime shape Piggy is terrible. Can't run, weak in run blocking, and mediocre in pass blocking. Out of shape, it's crazy to send him out there. The only way I could see him out there is if Chandler can't remember the plays.

The bad news is that Chandler struggles badly with run blocking. Expect the Panthers to run plays to the Gross/Wharton side of the line. Good news is that Chandler is a very nice pass blocking o-lineman. He might be an improvement over Scott as a pass blocker.

The good news is that Piggy's strength is run blocking.

Because he looked average in preseason against 2nd and 3rd stringers? I'm hoping he will play well, but I'm not a blind homer.

blind homer?

You don't know me that well.

The kid has the ability, is smart, and has been taking the coaching very well.

Would love for him to continue to develop into a solid starting LT.

in your eyes, recognizing talent and player development is being a homer.

Whatever you say.

We went into the season with backup caliber players as starters on the right side.....and that means your depth is weak. Bc your starters in theory should be your backups.
