They are nervous because they understand what's at stake and how important this 1 game is. They want this bad!

Being nervous isn't a bad thing... it's a good thing as long as you can channel that nervous energy.

The players get how important this is, and that's important.

These are two very evenly matched teams, so it will come down to who wants it more and our guys clearly want it.

If the 49r's lose they are still a strong wild card,if the Panthers lose, they fall almost out of contention,it's more important for the Panthers to win and Ron having a chance to keep his job!Of course, hopefully they won't be so nervous that they play uptight, they need to relax some!

Phew!

I'm wearing the same underwear I've worn for the last 4 wins and I haven't washed them yet so no worries, I got dis.

Is that just on game days or every day inbetween too?

There is something wrong with the Panthers if they aren't nervous. This is a big game and really a must win game if the Panthers want to catch the Saints. It will be very difficult to sweep NO. If you lose in the next two weeks it would be a much better loss to the Patriots; conference record is extremely important. In fact if you can pass NO, there is an excellent chance you could get the number 2 seed and a bye the way the North and East divisions are playing.

The 49ers have made a habit out of grinding opponents into submission with their hard nosed defense and ground and pound offense, however  it will be the Panthers using those techniques to score an upset and a fifth straight victory. Panthers 23 Forty Niners 20

The Players being nervous is fine, as long as the coach isn't.  :startle:

nervous energy >>>>>>>> confident flat-footedness

That's how I take it. This is saying they aren't ready to accept all the hype from ESPN. They have not arrived and still need to show up to have a chance to win.
