PG as #1 option = Mediocre Team

Kemba is a fan's favorite. I love me some Kemba and love love love his heart and attitude. But, I dont believe that he's the long term answer; someone who's going to take this the to the next level.

I believe that we can UPGRADE the PG position.

i think that any upgrade we get for kemba sacrifices real progress at another position.   we can't just go out and upgrade him.

do you think we could get a better point guard tomorrow?  or even through free agency or a trade?

we'd have to give up what we could invest in another position to do this, and for that reason, yes, kemba is the future.

i'm definitely not saying kemba is iverson

While Kemba isn't as good as Iverson they have an insanely similar play style imo.

The biggest thing this team is missing to help optimize Kemba is a sharpshooting sg to space the floor. We have the low post presence(Al offense and Biz defense) the stretch 4(Zeller potentially) and the slasher/defender/secondary ballhandler(im very high on mkg) we just need to ditch hendo(sixth man I'll tolerate him starting with the rest of our teams makeup not so much) and get someone who can shoot. I would love Klay Thompson but I don't see the warriors letting him go.

Kemba is the future here. Yes he can be the #2 option.

An upgrade to SG is obvious. An actual knock down shooter. However that cannot be the answer. Kemba and "said upgrade at SG" cannot be the majority of our scoring. We need Zeller to become Pao Gasol or Lamarcus Aldridge.

I think Kemba CAN be the main option, but we need to upgrade our SG and PF spots first (hopefully Zeller will become the upgrade at PF). At UConn during the championship run, Kemba was the man but he had Jeremy Lamb as a second option. Right now (with Al out), our second option is Gerald Henderson. Hendo is NOT the guy you want as your second option. When Al gets back, that could help Kemba.

But like Manos said, the thing that will help him the most is a really good SG, specifically someone who can stretch the floor. I'm keeping my eyes on Wayne Selden, Dante Exum, Marcus Smart (maybe he can have an Oladipo-type turnaround with his 3), James Young, and even Wiggins.

Hopefully we can cash in on DET and Portland's picks this season...could potentially find a couple answers to the roster. And I just really want Jabari here.

I'm obviously in the minority, but I feel Wiggins is over-hyped at this point. He's athletic as hell and still a great player, but Jabari has a better all-around game at this point IMO. I really feel he has the potential to be a Carmelo type guy, without some of the circus around him.

i hate when people compare jabari to carmelo. he isnt a ball hog and can play team ball alot better. carmelo isnt a championship caliber player. jabari is more like paul pierce if anything

Comparing a player to another player's style/ceiling doesn't usually include the negatives. Figured it went without saying there's an obvious difference in Jabari and Melo for the negatives the latter brings.
