Well, actually I think you're being overly cynical. Billick made some good points in regards to the Panthers, the main one being that Kuechly may be the best cover LB in the NFL.  He also gives Thomas Davis much deserved respect, as Davis' story has really been under-reported.  Much like many of us, he is also somewhat skeptical of the O-line, and rightly says that Cam's elusive ability can cover a multitude of the O-line's sins.

It's also worth noting that he effectively contrasted the record high in offensive scoring in the NFL so far this season, and the great defense that has been showcased by our Panthers.

You can poo poo it, but I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts (at least until the next game). It has been a long time coming.

Here's hoping this team fixes their problem and stop using Cam's abilities to cover up the team's mutitude of sins.

Glad he likes us, but I don't like Billick much.

He's on board because he's had a steady diet of us.

I liked what Cowherd said today about us, He's definitely giving us some props which hes' been reluctant to ever do. Thats how you know we're entering that special territory. He said today that Kaepernick and some other guys can't make plays in the pocket and that scares him about some of the QB in the league, but he flat out said that "Cam Newton can make plays from the pocket". He's been so critical of cam in the past so it was nice to hear.

I honestly don't know how you folks don't whiplash trying to keep up with the ego-driven mindset of these wanna-bes in the sports media. It's no wonder when they leaves nerworks like ESPN/NFLN so many of them go off and have their own talk-shows where they act like they are gods.

Billick is a buffoon, who just so happens to say nice things about the Panthers. The guy can't even get the players' names right. He's too old and out of touch to be commentating football games, even.

That's all true, but I really like the Donald Lafell thing.

I just like us getting some national attention. Just like how I like we are getting articles in the NY Times now, whereas they wouldn't waste page space on us the last few years. It's good for the team's popularity to be honest. We will have Panther fans in every damn state coming out of the woodwork... the seats will be filled with only guys wearing our black instead of opposing team colors.

It creates a culture over time.... it all feeds off itself.

He's still a dickhead.  The only statement he has made is that, if a team beats both Frisco and the Massholes, then that team is a player among the NFL elite.

In the philosophy biz we call that a tautology (google it).

The new season of eastbound and down is prety good. Seems to hit on this subject nicely.

I understand where you're coming from. And I hope the Panthers continue to play well and win more and more games.

I am a Giants fans and my team pretty much get treated the same way. I don't even pay attention to those fools when rain down cheap praises on my team when they do well because when it's all said and done they don't care for teams like ours. The articles, writes-ups, and mentioning these team on the air are all good and fine but keep in mind that those folks have the teams they will always see as going to the SB and will root them on on matter what and teams like the Panthers will always have to prove they can hang with those so called "elite teams."

I see it's time for the "This guy says good things about the Panthers so clearly he knows what's up!" threads.

This place is ridiculous !  Why anyone bothers starting a new thread on this "message board" is beyond me.  And heaven for bid the OP have an original thought or one that most of the "message board" sheep deem inappropriate...

The only thing is that: what you assume is his assertion is not necessarily true, thereby it doesn't quite fit the definition of tautology.
