He will be a New England Patriot.  Can still play and did not decline mentally.

Could the Panthers use a HOF Safety to compliment our young secondary and make Superbowl run.......or dont mess with current Defense chemistry?

No. Hell no. The answer is absolutely fuggin NO!

I live in Houston and made fun of my co-workers that Reed was a desparation signing. He isn't good anymore, he probably isn't healthy, and the Texans haven't won a game since he started playing.

I'm taking the Texans to win on Sunday.

This is the kind of thing I've talked about before, i.e. the mistake of valuing someone based on who they used to be rather than who they are now.

Would I want the Ed Reed of five years ago? Sure. Problem is that guy doesn't exist anymore. And the Ed Reed of right now is so broken down I wouldn't even want him as a backup.

Nostalgia makes for bad football.

Most predictable thread of the year. We get these threads when guys like Ochocinco are released.

I got one name for you, Reggie White. Loved him as a packer. Sad as a Panther.

Fellow Houston Panther fan here!!  I couldn't agree more.  After listening to how Reed has performed all year, I wouldn't want him, unless he wants to come in in a coaching role.

Nice to know I am not the only Panther fan in Houston!!!!

He will be a New England Patriot.  Can still play and did not decline mentally.

Three thoughts...

  •  Hope he plays Monday night for you
  • No he can't still play
  • Of course he didn't decline mentally. He's 37, not 73.

Some people can never be satisfied with what we have.  The most dominating defense in team history and we are still wanting to add players lol.

Only if we could get him cheap because he could tutor the young Panthers DBs (Robert Lester) and make them better also we would have another potential hall of famer play for our team
