Not a good idea. That pick is only Top 1 protected next year and even with a Jabari Parker, or Andrew Wiggins, the pick could easily be in the Top 10 next year. The Pistons are not one player away.

Add a quality player mid-1st round this year, and next year add 2 1st round picks... then we're on our way.

They were borderline playoffs till trade deadline, they've completely tanked since then. They have two low post threats, a pg and josh Smith. Add a good player to that mix and it's a playoff team easily in the east.

Half the east is purposely being bad and the Bobcats can't even get above .500 ball in a horrible east that's nearly 200 games below .500 as a whole.

Next year Orlando, Boston, Toronto, Miami, Indiana, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Brooklyn and the Knicks will all be better unless Charlotte can add an actually consistent outside scoring threat. There's none of those in FA or the draft at Portlands pick.

Either make a trade for a scorer on the wing or it's back to the lottery. That's this teams ceiling as built, the only reason teams even in the playoff hunt is because of all the tanking teams and injuries.

Orlando is decent and on an uptick, especially if they get a solid player in the draft to team with Vucevic and Oladipo and Afflalo

Boston is still 2 years away from competing, but are putting something together up there

Toronto is probably going to lose Lowry in the offseason. They will not be getting better- probably hope to stay even

Miami is getting older by the minute with Wade and Hasslem and Battier, etc. They still are the top dogs though.

Indy is on the up-tick too.

Cleveland needs to prove they can be healthy and win consistently. They have yet to do that, ever

Detroit is a train wreck that will be losing Monroe to some other team this offseason. They will be mildly better i assume but not significantly.

Chicago surprises me time after time. Add in a quality player or 2 in the draft and D.Rose... solid

Brooklyn has 1-2 more year window at the most..

Knicks just sprayed some Phil Jackson-deodorizer on the biggest disappointment of the year. They need to tank before they get better

and to say there is no outside scoring threat out there in FA or in the draft is just silly

pick one -- http://hoopshype.com/free_agency_2014.htm

There no one worth a damn that's not restricted or just plain not coming here. There's not a consistent 20 pt a game outside scoring threat in this draft or FA and that's what the team needs.

well you just jumped from an "outside scoring threat" to a "20 ppg marksman"..

there are quality scoring options out there that would make the team better.

we need to stock pile talent, period.

Here are some UFAs that we could land if we truly wanted to:

Luol Deng 19 ppg

Trevor Ariza 14 ppg

Rodney Stuckey 14 ppg

Lance Stephenson 13.5 ppg

Jodie Meeks 13.5 ppg

Ramon Sessions 11 ppg

Steve Blake 10 ppg, 8 ast

I honestly wouldn't sign any of these guys. They are going to get way overpaid. I don't want any part of thay

Just telling how it is, Kemba should be no more then a third/fourth option. The team needs a consistent point scoring outside shooter that can create their own shot and be the #2 option on the team.

I wanted him to wait and maybe get him with the Detroit pick.:(

We would have never got him with it, remember Smith is going to start taking great shots and they will get a top 10 draft pick with a new GM. Maybe the pick will be in the 20's. We can hope!!!

It is probably true but depressing.
