Do you remember the girlfriend that said "Do you think I am pretty?"...

Its easy to say the media doesn't matter, but they really do.

Positive national attention = more panthers fans.

more panthers fans = more hits on The Huddle.

More hits on The Huddle = more jingle in Zod's pocket

Fixed it for you.....we all know you are just a greedy corporate yummy at heart....you are just scared/ashamed to admit it. :thumbsu:

This forum...hell this Fanbase, right now, is that girl and the media is our boyfriend.

so the lesson here is that whether we win or lose we are screwed?

can Peter King (ironic) even get it up?

if we beat the patriots we can finally stop examining our own butts in the mirror.

the media does matter to this team, and to our higher quality of play.  Ron's whole, "we're not relevant" revelation came because of the lack of media attention, and has helped him lift himself and this team to a higher level.

Revising your analogy a bit...I feel like us (as girls) have some self-esteem issues built up over the years due to neglect and abuse (as fans). So even though we are beautiful voluptuous women now, it'll take a while to get over those self-esteem issues.

Another analogy that I think fits is us being like the nerdy girl at school that was always pretty cute but her beauty was hidden behind her glasses and unkempt hair. But lo and behold one day she takes off her glasses, puts a little makeup on, and fixes her hair a bit and wow she's a hottie! Who woulda known? So basically...the plot of She's All That if anyone has seen that classic. We've been a pretty good team the past couple years but have been afflicted by some bad luck in close games and some little fixable flaws. But now all of a sudden we're on a winning streak and the media is thinking "Wow this team is pretty good!"

I've been saying this for years about this board. It has to do with age. The younger you are, the more defensive you get if someone says anything negative about this team, or doesn't say we're good enough. It's comical. Bro rage!

BTW, the number one giveaway is when a poster calls someone in the media a fine young male for saying something bad about the Panthers ;)

Nope ... we are the sexy, but simple, girl that all the boys wanted ... but wouldn't admit it to their friends.

So keep talking about your flashy Pats, Cowboys, Broncos, etc etc because deep down, we know you want us.
