Patriots blow out Panthers

Best Answer rayzor, 18 November 2013 - 11:41 PM

Been a fan since day 1, but I'm not drinking the coolaid.

Panthers beat 5 teams with a total record of 12-34.  The only team with a winning record was the 49ers and all the others are well below 500.  The San Fran win was a great win, but let's not get confused.

Rivera sucks and he will show how bad on Monday night in what will be embarrassing.  Sucks that so many people have actually bought into Rivera now that he has won games the Panthers are suppose to win against shitty teams.  Now it looks like we are stuck with this turd.

I would love to see the Panthers win...but I'm not delusional.

yeah....about that.

Panthers are not playing that well.  They have beat some very very shitty teams.  The only win that the Panthers can hang their hat on is the SF win AND AGAIN they almost gave it away in the 4th.  The defense beat the crap out of Kapernick, but Brady is not going to let that happen.

I hope I am wrong...but why doesn't someone on here tell me why the Panthers will actually beat the Patriots besides providing some fanatical BS that amounts to nothing.

I believe the Panthers make the playoffs this year, but I also believe RIvera is a horrible coach and we can not win games against well coached winning teams....SF SHOULD have won....watch the game again.....some freaking lack of ball control in the 4th quarter that the Panthers have shown for 3 seasons under Rivera.

Good football teams SHOULD beat the crap out of very shitty teams.  Great teams should beat the crap out of them consistently.

Look at the Colts, regarded as a top 6 team this year by a lot of people, destroyed by the Rams.

Loot at the Seahawks, arguably a top 3 team this year, were on the ropes against the Bucs.

The reason I am confident against the Patriots:  They cannot defend the run, and we have three quality running backs, and a Quarterback that can run better than any QB in the game.  If you cannot stop the run, you are not going to beat this team.

Brady has been pressured a lot this year, is working with a young core of receivers, and has not looked as good as he has for the last decade.  I also think that Luke and defend well against Gronk.

Never said I wasn't "rooting" for the Panthers.....that doesn't mean I go full on Panthers ratard when I know Rivera hasn't proven anything.....being realistic is a good thing rather than pretending the Panthers are better than they are just because I'm a "fanatic"

It appears that you require performance confirmation to support this team. Until this teams proves that they are worthy, you won't stand up for them.

This team does not need anything from you.

Learn how to fan.

Fan = Went to every home game until 2006 when I moved....away games at the following stadiums (Houston SUPERBOWL, St. Louis PLAYOFFS, Philly PLAYOFFS, Atlanta several times, Tennessee, Tampa every year, Miami, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Pittsburgh and I'm sure I'm forgetting somewhere)   It is easy to be a fan when you live in Carolina.  Try being a fan in another city and actually supporting your team in a hostile crowd or bar.....it does provide fans unclouded glasses though.  I no longer blindly support a coach or team when I simply know better.  Rivera has beaten poo teams.....

SF should have beaten the Panthers in the 4th quarter.  As usual the offense could not hold the ball and keep SF off the field and gave them 2 opportunities to win.  The defense is in beast mode, but you can not ask them to close out games over and over again.  Eventually coaching needs to take place.  Rivera need to learn how to close out games and SF may have been a win, but not because of coaching...it was because the defense went off and shut down SF!  Brady is not Kapernick so do not get it twisted.  If the Panthers are even in the game in the 4th quarter, which I have serious doubts after watching Pittsburgh get destroyed with their top ranked defense, then the Panthers can not hand the ball over 2 times with a 1 point lead and expect to win.

I hope the Panthers do win...but I'm not going to read all this garbage you guys are posting about playoffs. It is one game at a time and the Patriots are not looking at the playoffs right now...they are looking at the Panthers.

PS....I just renewed my marriage vows on the 8th and I wore a Panthers hat during the ceremony.

fair enough, I'm almost afraid to ask... how do you feel about cam?

The Steelers were among the worst in the NFL in yards allowed per drive, points allowed per drive, and TDs allowed per drive.
