I know I know it might be a little early for post season talk. But I needed some other opinions on the subject to help shape my outlook on the rest of the games this season.

New Orleans just lost their best CB for the season in what was already a questionable secondary. The way our offense played last night I can honestly see us picking them apart and sweeping the Saints. Even if we were to lose in the dome, a division championship is still possible with a split seeing as how they still have SEA on the schedule.

If we were to take the division, it's looking like our potential playoff matchups would be SF at home or NO for a 3rd time at home.

However, if we take a wild card spot our potential matchups are on the road at Dallas/Philly or at Detroit/Green Bay (barring Rodgers quick return) or possibly, but not likely, at Chicago.

I'm honestly leaning towards a WC being our best shot at a Super Bowl run...

What does everyone else think?

When i think of the saints secondary, all i can think of is how fast Smitty is going to knock out that punk bitch Kenny Vacarro. Im setting the over/under at 6.5 offensive plays

don't be scared.  we started from the bottom, now we here.

I'm done second guessing this team and our success.  Enjoy the moment. It's a great day to be a Panther!

He has a valid point, I was lookin at this today. Seattle and Philly in the playoffs scare me the most. I like our WC matchups better. I do not want to play the Saints or the Seahawks away

There is no such thing as a jinx. If he wants to start this thread, so be it.

I say we get the WC and go to either Dallas, Philly, or Detroit

Fug Philly.. both as a football team and as a city. One game at a time, let's keep this train rolling through Miami

all of those scenarios are scary as hell. actually i think san fran at home or dallas/philly on the road give us the best chance of a win.

knocking dallas out of the playoffs in front of the jerry jones bowl would instantly become one of my favorite panthers memories of all time.

I wanna share your enthusiasm.  I really do.  But I ain't even thinking the p word until we clinch or week 17, whichever comes first.  Until then, every game is big and fug everyone who isn't black and blue.

Huh? Why the heck would we rather play on the road and not get a bye as opposed to a first-round bye and play at home? Even if the week 1 matchup is easier, the week 2 matchup will be just as, if not more, difficult...I don't get it.

I do not like the current playoff system. Teams should get in based on their records only. The six teams (in each conference) with the six best win vs. loss are the ones that should be playing in January. Period. The whole division winner thing is stupid. Just look at the NFC east this year. None of those teams deserve to be in the playoff hunt and yet one of those teams will HOST a playoff game. Total BS. The Panthers have the third best record in the league, yet are in fifth place in the NFC playoff picture.

There's a reason why you can't make threads anymore.
