fug I've been playing this game A LOT...

After a while it gets to be pretty easy to figure out what guys need to go where in order for it to be a good pick. It generally grades taking a good player at a position you need the highest, but will also grade you highly for drafting a player who's the BPA.

It also knocks you for double dipping at any position unless a player at a position you've already drafted is really really sliding down draft boards and is really really clearly BPA.

The only exception to this is that the Panthers can draft 2 WRs and still get graded highly for both picks. Its like whoever made the game knew that we needed 2 WRs lol. This is the only exception like it I've found in the game so far (I've done a lot of drafts as other teams too).

Finally, it just absolutely fuging hates some players, and gives you terrible grades for drafting certain guys who are decently rated, even in the 7th round, and even if its at a position of need. Dunno, I've generally figured out who they are though.

Here's the 4 highest rated Panthers drafts I've had (yes...I copy and paste my really good drafts into a word doc and save it):

Your score is: 5511 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 11 (NYG): Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State (A)
Round 2 Pick 28: JaWuan James, OT, Tennessee (A)
Round 3 Pick 10 (NYG): Bashaud Breeland, CB, Clemson (A)
Round 3 Pick 28: Demarcus Lawrence, DE, Boise State (A)
Round 4 Pick 28: Craig Loston, SS, LSU (A)
Round 5 Pick 28: Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers (A)
Round 6 Pick 28: Storm Johnson, RB, UCF (A)
Round 7 Pick 10: Dri Archer, WR, Kent State (A)

Your Future Picks:
2015 Round 1 Pick
2016 Round 1 Pick

Your score is: 5505 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 28: Zack Martin, OG, Notre Dame (A)
Round 2 Pick 28: Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech (A)
Round 3 Pick 28: Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt (A)
Round 4 Pick 28: Antone Exum, CB, Virginia Tech (A)
Round 5 Pick 28: TJ Jones, WR, Notre Dame (A)
Round 6 Pick 28: Seantrel Henderson, OT, Miami (Fla.) (A) - (definitely not enough OT help in this draft)
Round 7 Pick 10: Shamar Stephen, DT, Connecticut (A)

Your Future Picks:
2015 Round 1 Pick
2016 Round 1 Pick

Your score is: 5478 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 28: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan (A)
Round 2 Pick 28: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State (A)
Round 3 Pick 28: Louchiez Purifoy, CB, Florida (A)
Round 4 Pick 28: Prince Shembo, OLB, Notre Dame (B+)
Round 5 Pick 28: Nat Berhe, SS, San Diego State (A)
Round 6 Pick 28: Kevin Norwood, WR, Alabama (A)
Round 7 Pick 10: Ross Cockrell, CB, Duke (A)

Your Future Picks:
2015 Round 1 Pick
2016 Round 1 Pick

Your score is: 5739 (GRADE: A)

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 17 (NYJ): Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia (A)
Round 2 Pick 28: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State (A)
Round 3 Pick 16 (NYJ): Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt (A)
Round 3 Pick 28: Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska (A)
Round 4 Pick 4 (NYJ): Jeremy Hill, RB, LSU (A)
Round 4 Pick 28: Anthony Johnson, DT, LSU (A) - (shameless BPA whoring on these last two to boost overall draft score)
Round 5 Pick 28: Ronald Powell, OLB, Florida (A)
Round 6 Pick 28: Vinnie Sunseri, SS, Alabama (A)
Round 7 Pick 10: Dri Archer, WR, Kent State (A)

Your Future Picks:
2015 Round 1 Pick
2016 Round 1 Pick

A lot of these are unrealistic obviously. But I did learn two things:

1. trading down is probably a good idea for us, and

2. there are not many quality OTs available after round 2

Here's my Saints mock. This would be a great draft for them, what do you think:

Your score is: 3202 (GRADE: B-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 11 (TENN): Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State (C ) - traded their 2015 and 2016 picks to get their QB of the future.
Round 1 Pick 27: Tre Mason, RB, Auburn (B-) - they need someone to replace Darren Sproles. That justifies a 1st round RB, right?
Round 2 Pick 26: Carlos Hyde, RB, Ohio State (C+) - never can have to many RBs!
Round 3 Pick 27: C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa (B+) - need to add backup depth behind Jimmy Graham!
Round 4 Pick 26: Isaiah Lewis, SS, Michigan State (C ) - I dunno lol
Round 5 Pick 27: Anthony Fera, K, Texas (B-) - 5th round seems like a great place to add some depth at K
Round 5 Pick 29: J.C. Copeland, FB, LSU (A) - fug wasn't actually expecting a high grade for drafting a FB in the 5th
Round 6 Pick 26: Michael Campanaro, WR, Wake Forest (B+) - I dunno lol

Your Future Picks:

None, but it was worth it to trade up for Carr, right?

With the news about Alexander and some mumbles about him not sticking around, and the talk about Ealy possibly being there at #28, I think we take him.  Here's my newest mock focused, for the most part, on our needs.  Not the highest rated draft, but a solid draft nonetheless.

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 28: Kony Ealy, DE, Missouri (A)
Round 2 Pick 28: Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana (A-)
Round 3 Pick 28: Cameron Fleming, OT, Stanford ( B)
Round 4 Pick 28: Ahmad Dixon, SS, Baylor (A-)
Round 5 Pick 28: Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers (A)
Round 6 Pick 28: Justin Britt, OT, Missouri (D)
Round 7 Pick 10: Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma (B+)

All of which are possible picks.  However, I'm still sticking with my mock for the contest.
