I've honestly never seen anyone mention wanting UNC players specifically, but this is the 2nd post I've seen from you asserting this.

Not to mention there are only like 2 UNC players worth a crap in the league.

On the topic, Lawson would obviously be great wherever he plays, but there's no pieces to make a trade work.

I've seen people on this board pine for the following players in the last year, all of whom played for UNC:

Ty Lawson

Harrison Barnes

Tyler Hansbrough

Vince Carter

Makhtar N'Diaye

Ed Cota

Shammond Williams

Dexter Strickland

Scott Cherry

Kris Lang

Julius Peppers

Sam Perkins

Charlie Scott

Reyshawn Terry

Matt Doherty

Haha OK, so maybe I added a couple to the list.

Harrison Barnes

He's the only one worth a trade for he's worth MKG and 2nd round pick

If we had Lawson and Barnes on the team we'd have a better record. So...

Id trade any combo of Bobcats players to attain 2 players said above. Might be UNC players but they can ball in the NBA...

Don't forget about Henson up there in Milwaukee, that man is a force in the making.

This is why you're not an NBA GM.

No, this is a fine example of why I was not the person who drafted Morrison, Brandon Wright, Ajinca, Gerald Henderson, and now Zeller.

Id trade MKG and the Portland or Detriot's pick. Im tired of being bottom of the rank. Id do anything for a player like Barnes. The only player for keeping and building this team with for next year is Al Jefferson. We can trade everyone else.

That's all it is. Some people on here just want a UNC All-Star team.

Can we trade MKG for Barnes, and Taylor for Vince Carter? Maybe Biyombo for Davis? How about Cody Zeller for Tyler Zeller? And sign Kendall Marshall!!

Oh wait, don't forget trading Sessions & Henderson for a pick to be used on James Michael McAdoo, and try to get Hansbrough in exchange for McRoberts. THEN, the Hornets will be good.

Shut your crap.

Shut your crap.

You're taking yourself way, way too seriously.

I'm not afraid to call out people who blur the lines between NCAA fan and NBA fan. Just because they went to UNC or their name is Myck Kabongo, doesn't mean they're better than every player the Bobcats/Hornets have on their roster. That includes Lawson as well.

Id keep either Taylor or mkg. Kemba has shown he can score but can't run an offense that well. But to his defense he's never had any shooters or scoters around him. I mean Jefferson is the closest thing to a scorer he's ever had. And he's like a black hole sometimes on offense.

But if we was in the top 5 of the draft I wouldn't be afraid to draft a pg or any position. For instance, we just drafted zeller. We haven't seen a lot of him or seen what he's truly capable of. But if we have a chance to draft randle then u do it. Without even hesitating. Same thing goes with every position on this team. Get a franchise player no matter what position they play. I'm hoping to see quite a few trades this year around the deadline. Hopefully we can pick up some more 1st rounders.

I would trade MKG in a heartbeat. If you think you can get a good pick for him, do it. Why have a defensive-specialist SF who can't score more than 8-10 ppg, when you could go for a SF who could score 18-22 ppg and play defense?

Since this whole board is basically a series of what-ifs, and it advocates go-for-broke style trades, why not?

I agree. I would trade him. But at the same time it scares me knowing what he can be. If he gets a jumpshot and gains confidence in his dribble and drive then he will be a better Paul George. That's the only thing.
But I would definitely trade him if the right offer came around. I wouldn't just dump him for hell of it. He does too many things well.
