um, there is nothing to judge Barner on at this point...

and Ginn almost turned a KO over

Ginn was pretty much downed. Barner made a stupid decision to let the ball bounce instead of just catching it in the first place.

I've seen more than enough of Barner. He has gotten more oppturtunity than Joe Adams last season. Barner is not the answer. I do not know what the obsession with the kid is all about. Just another Chip Kelly's kid.

Ginn play was a near disaster.

Barner has 5 rush attempts on runs designed for a FB bruiser into trash piles. That would be like throwing Derrick Anderson out there and give him 5 zone read plays were a throw isn't an option and claiming you have seen enough he sucks as a backup QB

Barner may suck. We haven't been given the chance to see is that is true yet

That's a dumb comparison.

Barner is so unuseful that even the Jets knew we were goin to throw the ball with Barner in the backfield yesterday. The Jets didnt even bite on it.

Quit the Barner talk until he prove something. You wouldn't want to watch Barner's highlights this season as a Panther. Pretty disgusting.

The problem isn't DWill vs Stewart, it's Stewart vs Tolbert. Mike does what Jonathan does, but better and more consistently. Trying to manage 3 backs with Cam is a situation where nobody wins and none of the backs are allowed to get into a rhythm.

On paper we're better but that's not really fair to Stewart since he was just knocking off the rust of not seeing any game action for almost a year before he got hurt again.

It is clear that the more opportunities you give DeAngelo the better he gets, so if/when Stewart returns we need to carefully consider how we divide the workload to get the most out of both these guys.

No. Stewart is a proven and solid RB in the NFL when healthy.

Gettis made 3 catches that turned him into a folk legend

gettis had a decent rookie year followed by being plagued with injuries.........then when it seem like he was back to form he got injured yet again.

Stewart in recent years has done near the same, good production on the field but somehow gets injured mid or late season, because of his cap he won't be cut but that's his case unless he comes back during play-off time.

it's the nfl things like this happen all the time not everyone is or will be as blessed as TD, i still have hope for stewart but it's looking thin

Comparing Gettis to Stewart is an insult to Stewart.

well then your reading out of context. not comparing each as players but as guys who couldn't get pass injuries

It may have been the elephant in the room, but it’s never been a secret that the Panthers were eventually going to have to deal harshly with the contract situation at running back that Marty Hurney got this  franchise into. Heck, it was likely one of the interview questions Gettleman and the other job candidates had to field prior to getting the GM position..

Williams, with his inspired play this season while Stewart has been on the injury list, might just make Gettleman’s decision, and course of action, much easier.

Still an insult to Stewart...

and Gettis got healthy, and went to the dog house last year. He got healthy this year in camp and couldn't beat out tons of unimpressive guys.
