Since Duke's defense is so hit or miss, and mostly miss, they need 3 guys to consistently show up and score. Whether it be Jabari, Hood, Cook, Dawkins, or even Rasheed, they're not going to beat good teams if only 2 guys put up good offensive efforts.

They're still one of the Top 5 most dangerous teams IMO because of the offensive potential and Coach K, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them wind up being a 3 seed or so in the tournament at best, unless some things change on the defensive end.

Jabari Parker and Duke sure did struggle today.

Dude - duke is a football school now, and the PJ sitch is over so they can't spend their time crying about unc anymore. You're only going to see the dookies pop their heads out of their holes when unc loses a game. #fact

If Parker doesn't get his 30; duke is in trouble. The team ND had last night looked more of like a classic K team than the one he put on the floor.

Wake beats UNC in a sloppy game for both teams.   I am not really surprised, as Wake plays well at home.  But it was a weird game as UNC outrebounded Wake 2-1, but shot poorly and turned it over a lot.  Of course, part of the reason they shot poorly and turned it over was that Wake played solid defense and got their hands on a lot of shots.  But any win over the Heels is a good win.

Wake out-hustled and dare I say out-coached UNC.  If UNC finished on those offensive boards, UNC could have had a 6 points win.  If Wake would have hit their free throws, it could have been a 20 point game.

Roy Williams is such an overrated coach.

Finishing on the boards is a problem with execution. Not coaching. Contradiction galore all up in this bitch.

Mr TD turns into Alice when he talks about college basketball. Is Alice one of Mr. TD's Alts? They both act the same way.

Yeah there was a stretch where I swear every shot for UNC was a brick. Basketball is a pretty simple game, if you miss your shots and your opponent doesn't; you're going to usually lose. It's going to be like this the rest of the season for the Heels. Play to level of their competition. Still a good win for the Deacs and hopefully they'll be in the NCAAT this year.

No he's not.  He isnt the strongest in-game coach (doesnt use timeouts well, his lineups dont always make sense), but everybody who knows anything about basketball already knows this about Roy.

Which makes him properly rated as a very good college coach

Wake ran those backdoor cuts all game.  Roy had no response.

So Roy is an overrated coach because he let Wake run backdoor cuts?

Great in-depth analysis of Roy's strengths and weaknesses

One of the Wake players said they had been planning for that all week.  They knew UNC tended to overplay, and they had been working on more passing from the big men.  UNC did sink back into a zone a few times, but Wake was still able to penetrate with relative ease, which was a good thing because after the first two, they were not able to make a three the rest of the night.    UNC got a lot of fouls called on them, might have made them a bit gunshy on the defensive end.
