Don't forget about Ginn but Harry Douglas has been their Ginn kind of. Douglas has been really good.

I have always thought he had a great name...Harry Douglas lol

Agreed, but Julio wasn't in the picture this year, and you forgot that Dwill/JStew>SJax and Cam's OL>Matt's.

my statement was last years offensive weapons.

imagine what cam could do with a reciever like julio. not trying to be a dick but a lot of times matt can just throw it up and julio comes down with it.

we don't really have that kind of receiver anymore with smitty, even last year.

that's why the league should be very concerned when we add a receiver that is a game changer. not necessarily in aj green or julio's category but somebody Cam can trust to throw it to like that.

our defense with an explosive offense would be the most complete team in the league.

I'm not disputing that Cam would have better stats with JJ. Anyone would.

I'm just taking slight issue with this statement. With more or less equivelent weapons this year, Matt has a higher QBR (Using this because it accounts for Cam's rushing prowess). Why would adding Julio to each's equation change anything?

Basically, why would Cam+Julio>>>>>Matt+Julio when Cam w/o Julio<<Matt w/o Julio?

his numbers would be unreal in comparison with matts

He's only good when the other top targets are out; he somehow can't get separation when he's the 5th option but gets plenty when he's the #1.

I will admit his name is excellent; he won't have to change his name if he gets into porn.

because when you have a receiver of julios caliber it changes everything. your offensive game planning changes.

what the defense does to your other WR changes.

if you just look at raw numbers and a very basic look what he did with this look what he still did with that mentality. it doesn't give the full picture.

Cam's ability to run on top of all that would be absolutely horrific for opposing defenses. Cam's numbers would skyrocket. imo.

Cam's QBR this year is 54.88. Matt's was 74.5 last year.Simply put,  I don't think adding a Julio Jones would bridge that gap and you do (I do, however, agree with your point that deep threats help mobile QBs more than stationary ones).

But since we're speaking in hypotheticals here (Unless the Panthers manage to add a JJ-calibur WR with the presumably 20/30-range draft picks the'll be making if their current success continues), I guess we're gonna have to agree to disagree.

I fail to see how Matt even compares to Cam this year..

28 tds, 12 ints > 24 tds, 16 ints

if you take 4 of Cam's TDs and make them INTs, their numbers are exactly the same!  see how easy that is?

Yes, but 4235 yards >3230 yards, 67.3 completion %> 62.1 completion %, 63.13 Total QBR > 54.88 Total QBR, and they have the exact same traditional QB rating.

We can each cherry pick stats all day long.

Matt Ryan has 1,000 more yards? Wow, that's really impressive, unless of course, he threw it 100 more times than Cam.

Again, each have some favorable stats one could use to make their respective cases (you only attempted to refute one of four I posted), but, as I said before, I'm gonna take the cumulative one (QBR) to make my judgement. You make your own call.

Matt Ryan has a noodle arm and lacks fortitude when the pressure is on. That said, he's quite accurate and knows how to pick apart a defense.

However, I wouldn't trade Cam for Ryan ever.

Wait is he seriously using that ESPN bullshit stat QBR? That stat makes no fuging sense, it's completely arbitrary.
