(Truth in advertising:  I know a lot about this guy because he plays for my college team.  So is there any bias involved?  At the very least, a little.)

Auburn LT Greg Robinson is "blowing up" on the scouting sites as a potential 1st rounder.

This guy is an out and out MAULER in the run game.  And his athleticism is through the roof and looks extremely adaptable to becoming a very good pass blocker (he's already pretty good, its just that Auburn only passes the ball about 1 out of every 3 plays).

Here's a look at him in the SEC Championship Game against Missouri (in which his usual opponent on each play was Missouri #47, Kony Ealy, also a potential high round pick).

And here's an article pointing out Robinson's skills from a scouting viewpoint.

I've watched him every game (and every home game + the SECCG in person)... the kid is a beast.  From what I've read, the way his value is potentially going up and up, he may not even be available at our pick in the lower 1st.  But if he is, I think he'd be an HUGE upgrade immediately at RT (if we hopefully resign Gross) and an eventual replacement at LT.

I would love him but he may go to high for us and he may come back if they don't win this year. Best case scenario he drops to us and we get a steal

Yeah, his value seems to be doing nothing but going up and up and up.

I think he'll declare for the NFL.

And, from what it looks like, he'll probably be long gone by the time we pick. :(

For what it's worth,WalterFootball.com's projected  2014 NFL Draft has Auburn OT Greg Robinson going to the Titans real early in rd # 1.

titansb_logo.gif Tennessee Titans: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn Auburn_logo.gif

The Titans are fine at offensive tackle right now, but Michael Roos and David Stewart will be free agents in 2015 and 2014, respectively (the latter has a voidable year after this upcoming season). They'll need to retool at the position if they don't re-sign either of the two.

I'm bumping Greg Robinson up to the No. 2 tackle slot. Robinson has been amazing during Auburn's improbable run to the national championship - though Alabama should be playing Florida State in the BCS Championship

big, athletic, nasty OTs dont last long in the draft. after hearing people talk about him, i watched his last 3 games and he dominated some good talent in the SEC.

Robinson is quickly rising. Wouldn't mind taking him in the first if available. I prefer WR first but I believe that OT would probably be more of a BPA pick right now.

LOL... ok.

(He uses the Vegas lines PRIOR to games to support his logic... yet he has failed to go back and see just how many times Auburn has won games this year AGAINST THE SPREAD.  In other words, it seems that Vegas hasn't really had a handle on just how good Auburn really is all damn year long.  He also justifies Bama's loss to Auburn because of Bama's many missed opportunities while AT THE SAME TIME ignoring missed opportunities to score by Auburn.  Its almost as if he uses only the facts that supports the conclusion that he favors.)

i paid very close attention to him vs Mizzou and he stood out vs some pretty good DL talent. he moves very well, and was hardly on the ground. he can block down, reach and get to the second level with ease. and if he gets hands on you, you are not getting off without a fight, and by then the ball is gone.

didnt see him pass block one on one much, but he has the athletic ability to handle itpushed DEs up the field to allow Marshall to step up in the pocket. the time Kony Ealy or Sams got into the backfield was when Robinson was not assigned to them because he was blocking down, or pulling, and the scheme has him pass blocking vs DTs and others instead of the DE at times. Ealy took advantage of that match up when it occured, but could find the same results vs Robinson.

Greg Robinson and Cameron Erving are my two favorite OTs other than Matthews and Kouandjio.

I think that Taylor Lewan could possibly fall down into the late 1st behind those two.

I love his physicality too. Dont get me wrong.

I just think that Lewan can still improve. Cameron Erving is too good of player and probably the best all around OT other than Matthews. If Greg Robinson's stock keep on rising, Lewan could fall. I wouldnt mind Lewan falling to us in the late 1st.

Erving is beast, if either him or Lewan fall to us that is money.

If Gross doesn't retire than Lewan can play RT and eventually grow into the LT position

If we win the SB then Gross might retire.  If not I don't think he hangs them up yet.  Would love to go OT in the first if there is value but would not reach too much.
