Don't some teams have rules that they don't allow assistants to interview for other positions until the season is over (playoffs included if applicable)?  I guess the Panthers don't?

Doesn't sound very selective to me

This is just something else on the team's mind when they come in for work next week.

This is where your job is right now Sean. Focus on it. If they really want you, they'll wait,

Meh, no big deal... he won't miss much and they're coming to Charlotte.  We've got two weeks and don't even know who we're playing...

This is how the NFL works.  I don't blame him at all.

This.  Most Huddlers seem to have missed this.  Or else they think an interview takes all day...

Yeah, the entire organization is taking it easy until the opponent is set. Let's not hang his head on a pike just for doing an interview in the down time.

Unnecessary distraction in my book. Wait for the season to end. I can't believe the Panthers are allowing this.

League rules allow teams to interview assistants that have a playoff bye on this coming Sunday.  I don't see how this will affect his focus.  This happens every year to playoff coordinators.  He probably would have had Sunday off anyways.  If anything it just means he will be more focused to show what he can do with the defense in the divisional round.

I don't mind him interviewing now. There's no way of knowing if the job will still be available if he decides to wait.
