I just realized that Bobby Ryan didn't make the team...

with a good handful of American super stars not making it, I think it was a personal decision for some of them and they chose not to go.

Good article about how the team was formed and why Ryan was left off.

Another name. Okposo should've been on there. IDK if I trust the judgement of those in charge =\

After overlooking the roster, I came up with the changes I would make...

Kyle Okposo over James Van Riemsdyk

Bobby Ryan over Ryan Callahan (no idea how Callahan made it)

Keith Yandle over Paul Martin

Dustin Byfuglien over Brooks Orpik

Jack Johnson over Cam Fowler

Ben Bishop over Jimmy Howard (Bishop is second in the NHL in save percentage...)

My Line Up

Zach Parise - Ryan Kesler - Patrick Kane

Bobby Ryan - Joe Pavelski - Phil Kessel

Dustin Brown - David Backes - Max Pacioretty

Kyle Okposo - Paul Stastny - T.J. Oshie

Blake Wheeler - Derek Stepan

Ryan Suter - John Carlson

Ryan McDonagh - Kevin Shattenkirk

Jack Johnson - Justin Faulk

Dustin Byfuglien - Keith Yandle

Ryan Miller

Jonathan Quick

Ben Bishop

Note: Dustin Brown could also be subbed out to keep JvR (Brown is having an sub-par season), but his experience should keep him on the roster.

It's clear to me that favorites were played... Burke hates Bobby Ryan which is why he wasn't picked and there was no way that Byslma was going to leave off his own players in Orpik and Martin.

And finally, it's beyond me how Ryan Callahan made this team... he's struggled when he's been in the line-up and on top of that he has missed 14 games due to injury. We can't be wasting a roster spot on a guy that needs to wear bubble wrap in order to make it to Sochi in one piece.

I can see now why there was so much fuss when Byslma was named coach. This isn't a freaking summer practice. WE GOT TO BEAT fuging CANADA. And this guy is fuging with our roster. We need the best players possible. Not fuging favorites of a coach. Pisses me off to no end because I've been looking forward to this for 4 years.

I'm still pissed bobby ryan and okposo aren't on the team. They've both put up great numbers this year. We don't have the luxury like Canada to pick and choose situational guys. We need the absolute best point scorers on the team and I don't believe we do.

And it also looks like they have Quick over Miller despite Miller having the higher save percentage while facing more shots. Miller has always faced a ton of shots while still having a high save percentage. He should be the starter.
