Even the most absurd right wing lunatics on my Facebook have left the Birth Certificate thing alone.

Any candidate running should have to produce one. I have to produce various licenses and forms of ID for my job. Running for Pres should be a higher standard, not a lower one.

So you've had to produce your birth certificate to prove you were born in the US for your job?

edit: I just think it's telling this hasn't been a serious issue until Obama ran for president..

I've had to produce it to obtain certain specialized licenses. Not really a big deal to me. I think the only reason Obama has had the issue pushed is he wasn't raised in America. Personally, I think the DNC and RNC should both have this taken care of before they even nominate someone for President. Matter of fact, I hope they have at least done that much.

Before I hire an attorney, choose a surgeon, hire a contractor I inspect their credentials. I do some research. I like to know as much as I can before I put my fate so to speak in someone else's hands.

Who did you vote for in 2008 and 2012 and what do you know about them? Where were they born, who raised them and how they raised them, any jail time, trips aboard and convictions?

In 2008 I voted for McCain. Not so much a vote for McCain as a vote against Obama. After listening to several of his speeches, certain things he said just didn't set right with me. Sorry, I can't be more specific about 08. And in 12, voted against him again. I don't like his socialist stance and I despise the ACA. I don't think Romney was much better. I voted for the lesser of 2 evils as I saw it.

Romney spent his influential post high school years in France, yet no one questioned whether he was a secret socialist or planned to introduce snails to US school lunchrooms.

the constitution doesn't even define what a "natural born citizen" is

what we have is a series of rules governing birthright citizenship and depending on the interpretation of those rules and how they relate to eligibility of a person (scholars and historians are still debating this) it may not actually matter if a presidential candidate was born on mars so long as one of the parents was a US citizen.

Don't be so sure, he's basically the grandfather of the ACA, after all.

Damn socialist.

Liberals have birthers too, according to stirs. They're going out and claiming Ted Cruz was born in a foreign country when really he was born in Canada.
