It's absurd that he can't speak English well. We spend billions each year to educate our children and these are the results. Pinning this on Winston isn't entirely fair, I'm far more ashamed of his parents, his teachers and his community.

People will say it doesn't matter but it does. It doesn't matter for the tiny % of the population that becomes rap stars, porn stars, and professional athletes. For everyone else they're being put on a path to go through life with a handicap resulting in a lowered living standard and perpetual poverty.

This has nothing to do with being 'a great orator' or 'speaking like a college professor'. It's about spending billions of dollars and the results being illiteracy.

It's pathetic. Our country is inferior and our people are inferior for allowing it.

And English is just the basic building block. Speaking English will get you to the interview and allow you to show your talent. We haven't even started on the ignorance in this country regarding math and science, the tangible skills that make a country

wealthy or poor, modern or primitive,
etc.

If he went to a public school in a low income area America doesn't give a damn as long as he can throw a football. Parents should always want better though, but then again it could've been nerves.
